I Don't Know How To Finish The Transaction

i want to sell an audio course.

i downloaded Audacity to record my files.

i have my lead page set up with an opt-in box. its been tested and works.

i have an Aweber account set up to initiate autoresponders to subscribers. its been tested and works. (i might hire one of your members to help write content for my follow ups)

BUT,

i dont know how to finish the transaction! how do you automate the sales process when selling audio files? should i have 8 different audio files (like chapters) or one long audio file? where do i host the audio files? do i create another sales page, place the sales page URL in my autoresponder so my subscribers can go there to checkout? how do i integrate my hosted files with my sales page and paypal?

am i overthinking this?

    Hello Roscoe4,

Do you have a website? I am assuming you do because you said that you have your opt-in set up.

You will have to create another page (a thank you page) where your customers can go after they opt-in. This page will say thank you from you and will have the links to download your audio files. Automatically direct them to this page and include the link to this page in your thank you email (this should be automated). Does that answer that questions?

As far as your other question goes...definitely break the chapters into 8 different audio files.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck in you journey.

First off, here's the flow you want to see:

Autoresponder > Sales page > Paypal (for checkout) > Delivery page

You can do one long file if the content is about an hour or less, otherwise go for the individual audio files. My own preference would be the collection of files anyway, to make it easier to keep track of progress.

Once on the delivery page, which you will instruct Paypal to go to once the payment clears, you have to decide - will you stream the audios from the page or have your buyers download them?

If you stream them, each audio will have its own player embedded in the page, much like a podcast's episodes. If you download them, link to each file. Give basic instructions (left click and choose 'save'as').

As for hosting the files themselves, you have a couple of choices. If the volume will be fairly low, you might get by hosting them with your web host. Otherwise, you might look into something like Amazon's web services. I know a lot of people offering videos use AWS.

Just take a deep breath and go one step at a time. You should do fine.

      There you have it!

You can create a sales page and delivery page using some beautiful templates from Fiverr: https://www.fiverr.com/

You can also edit them using NVU for free: NVU

edit images for your pages for free using GIMP: https://www.gimp.org/downloads/

and if you need a cool looking 3D product image for your audio files you can create one for free here: Free Online 3D Book Cover Maker

remember to nofollow and no index these pages and to keep them in different folders.

Also, a reliable cloud to keep your audio files is amazon aws: https://aws.amazon.com/

As only buyers will download / play content I assume it's ok to store this on regular web hosting.

If you get lot of buyers you can always relocate your download to aws.

You need to have a sales page as a separate sub domain, explaining all the benefits etc.. Then have a buy button that redirects to your paypal, then a thank-you and download page.

This is just one way to do it.
