How to Attract Affiliates

Hi!

I wrote an e-book called "Writer's Fast Track to Cash." I put a lot into it - did a lot of research. I did my sales page (not completely done with it yet, but it's out there) with presently 2 bonus e-books plus another I'm getting ready to add another on copywriting today.

I'm using e-junkie right now.

Now, this is very new. And, I'm new at marketing. I just sent out a ton of articles to directories and I have more waiting in a queue. I plan on starting a newsletter ASAP and adding an RSS feed.

I'm looking over the instructions at e-junkie and I'm wondering...

How exactly do I go about getting affiliates?

I'm also wondering if I should have gone with ClickBank, but it just gave me a bad vibe.

What do affiliates look for in a product?

And how do I find them?

Does Clickbank do a better job than e-junkie for affiliate marketing?

Thanks!

The #1 requirement for getting more affiliates is probably
having a product that affiliates absolutely know will sell.
They know what their customers typically buy, and they
can tell from looking over your product and sales page
whether or not their customers will likely buy it.

You really begin product development though by looking
at what your ideal customers are already buying, and then
offering them more of the same... only with improvements.

I did the research on my competitors - I looked at reviews and commentaries by people who read their books and took that into consideration. I have moments when I wonder if it's good enough, but I go back and look at it and I know it is good.

Apart from creating a dynamite sales page, how will my affiliates know how good the contents are?

      Thanks!

I've read the e-junkie affiliate program info. and it is as clear as mud. I think paying affiliates, handling refunds, etc., myself is going to be massive overload. But, I need an affiliate program and a way to get affiliates.

If you go with Clickbank can you sell your *own* product through them, too?

Would somebody like Payloadz be better?

Totally - totally - open to suggestions on this.

    Thanks!

I haven't tried e-Junkie but I love Clickbank and I highly recommend them.

Here are some tips on getting affiliates:

    - Make sure your sales copy is a killer!

    - Submit your product to Clickbank.

    - Create a special page with ad material such and banners, text ads, reviews etc for affiliates to use.

    - Set a high affiliate commission. 75% works well.

    - Announce your affiliate program in the JV section of this Warrior Forum.

    - Buy text ads on clickbanksuccessforum.com . Very cheap and effective.

    That should get you started.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks,

8)Submit a $360 press release to PRWEB.com for more publicity and affiliates.

      • You need to generate a lot of traffic yourself before you start an affiliate program. This is so you can test and tweak your conversions to be sure your product sells well before you start to add affiliates.

CONVERSIONS are key! Does not matter how good you think the product is. The proof is in the pudding - how many visitors will buy?

You can offer the greatest commission but if the conversions aren't there, then affiliates can't make any money. Don't have affiliates be your guinea pigs. Do conversion testing 1st then use good numbers to help you find good affiliates.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

A number of my clients are affiliate marketers who regularly ask me to write reviews of products both digital and physical.

Once you have the numbers to prove to affiliates that you have a "selling" product, having a complete review as part of your marketing arsenal can often help affiliates pre-sell.

Other replies are totally spot on especially regarding your sales page. No matter what promotional material you offer affiliates, no matter how many bonuses you are giving away with your product, if your sales page doesn't turn affiliates on, never mind your site visitors, you are unlikely to get many sign ups.

I am happy to take a look (gratis) at your almost ready sales page if you like.
