Desktop version of Zapier?
I've been playing with an app I wrote that manipulates CSV files, mainly for use with list and data maintenance, and a friend suggested I make it talk to various APIs so it might work more like a desktop version of Zapier.
Zapier lets you build small processes like IFTTT and processes them in real-time by connecting different SaaS sites via their REST APIs. I imagine it's mostly used for email / contact management since this is the most dynamic sort of thing most sites would engage with, but I'm curious what else it would manage other than emails and contact info.
More to the point, I'm wondering if it would be useful to have a desktop app that you'd run periodically to process data in a kind of "batch mode", perhaps once a day or so.
Any thoughts?
