hi,

I have an online tool containing many converters and calculators.

How can I earn money from it?
Are there any special tricks for this niche?

Thanks for your advice

To get a better answer, perhaps you should rephrase your question and add more details.
Who do you think will benefit from using your tool? Where do they hang out? Go get them and ask them how much they would pay to have access to your tool.

The usual method for that kind of thing is either offering it as a free service and putting advertising on the page, or selling the tool in some way.

You can offer a limited free version and sell the full version.

Either way you will need to get traffic to it to make money.

I want to keep this tool free as a service to the public because I think it can help many people.

Putting ads on my site is an option, if they don't disturb my users from using my tool...

If you don't want to serve ads why not think about retargeting.

If you start to pixel the visitors and set up retargeting campaigns relative to the calculator they use and how much time they spend using the tool you can then advertise to them offsite with relevant targeted ads.

People using a specific calculator or group of calculators may have a common interest.

The key is to identify the interest and then target them for other products where you can sell to them.

It will come down to traffic and how well you can make money elsewhere by leveraging the data you would accumulate.

One thing would be to advertise a particular free product via retargeting with the idea you will build a list of a specific group of people. . .for example "students studying to gain residency visas"

Then you have a lead magnet for that group of people.

You gather names and contact details with the goal to sell them something. . .or more importantly sell the data to say a migration agent.

    Businesses pay for leads.

Work out what leads you can generate and who can pay you for them.

    Best regards,

    Ozi

    Hi Gamestoenjoy:

If you offer a service to complement your tool that could be one avenue to bring in revenue.
You offer many converters and calculators you said in your post. Perhaps you could make a paid product as a follow up for the free products. Or you could offer a higher level converter or calculator that you charge a small fee or a monthly fee to use. You would have a free version and a paid version that is a upgrade.

    Good Luck,

Why not offer it for free and collect emails in exchange for the free tool and you can build a sizeable email list that you can market to over and over again.

    ads, is one idea..

how about selling a product on a problem your calculator revealed?

Lets say you have a popular BMI calculator, at the last page when the BMI spits out its results

why not promote a fat loss program for people with a BMI over 30?

there is no such thing as an ultimate product.. whatever you create will create more issues...

issues you can fix for a price..

Well since i don't know what your converters or calculator is about it hard to suggest what kind of system you should use. But if they are the standard calculus stuff, I would say it's hard t monetize with just simple ads.
If your site has i don't know body fat calculators or something along the lines you could show weigtloss products next to it and so on.
