Abundance vs Scarcity Mentality

I'm so sick of people asking insane questions like how to make $500 before Christmas, or whether we've all missed our golden opportunities or not. All of the tools that you need to make $500 extra before Christmas aren't in the forums here or in some book or in the hands of your enemies, they're literally between your ears and the first thing you have to do is get away from the scarcity mentality and adopt and abundance mentality that's going to change your life for the better.

Scarcity Mentality: Opportunities are hard to find, and once you do find them, they're fleeting. A good chance to make money or be successful comes around a couple of times in your life. Luck happens when preparation meets opportunity, so if you're not prepared at the key moments, you're going to miss the thing that could have made you rich and you'll just be average like everyone else.

Abundance Mentality: There is opportunity everywhere because you have the skills to create your own. When you know that you have the intelligence and skill set to create opportunities for yourself and generate wealth on your own, you no longer wait for the right chance to just "come around", you actually go out and create those chances for success on your own terms. You no longer have to rely on others to make things happen, you make things happen. You don't wait for opportunity to knock on your door, you are the one who knocks.

Like I said, your knowledge and your mindset are the two things that will help you push forward through uncertainty. I can think of 500 ways to make $500 before Christmas, but it depends on which one I'm going to commit to and actually execute. Making money isn't the issue - the system is designed for you to make money by providing value to other people. You could go sit on the street with a shoe shine kit and shine shoes for $500 before Christmas. People need things and all you have to do is become a provider in order to prosper. It's not going to be easy, but we shouldn't sit around and act like there are no opportunities to excel because we aren't millionaires yet.

We need to have discipline, vision and commitment and we're going to find a way to push forward toward our goals. Most importantly, focus on creating abundance for yourself in live. Don't squabble over resources, create more value when you don't have enough and keep the people around you fed. Show people they can rely on you - you're going to feel great about that. Work hard and don't give up.

Perfect. Couldn't agree more. I don't understand why questions like "how to make money before Christmas" and similar receive huge response from the warrior community.

Few years back, I had an opportunity to meet up a great entrepreneur from Germany. He was visiting my place, and I had the chance to show him around the city. At the end of the drive, he said "Each street in your city is holding millions of dollars. One should learn to extract it."

His advice is with me since then..

The money is everywhere. For the farmer, it is in the soil. For the cobbler, it is in the shoes.

And as you said "it is literally between your ears."

    Thanks

I enjoyed reading your definition of abundance and I agree wholeheartedly.

I guess what's important is to have compassion for people who really are struggling to make ends meet. It's hard to see the top when you're so far at the bottom, which is where the majority of people place their mindsets.

From someone who used to be very negative and trapped in scarcity, I can say that you advice makes sense to anyone who truly 'gets it' already, while for people who truly need to hear this it will be like trying to shine a red light through a green filter.

Everyone is doing their best, and people can't be different to how they are. If someone could be abundant then obviously they would. Not every person is able to pull themselves up by their bootstraps because they're so trapped in their own minds. There's also people who face actual poverty and danger in their every day lives.

You would have to admit that it would be a tall order to get someone to think in terms of abundance when they don't even have enough food to eat, or a safe place to sleep at night.

Here is a thought bugger off if you don't like it people come on here from 3rd world countries that are desperate for money , I hate the long winded so BS articles you see on the main board and they should be nuked or put in the OT but i dont go complaining about it

And if this is what people like it is very much a sad indictment of the forum to allow this crap to go on

Most people know what to do, yet they don't do it.

No one is going to do it for you. Once I realized this I started taking action.

I have also visited third world countries where many can't afford internet. And I have seen kids playing with cardboard boxes for toys.

When I came back home it made me really thankful and actually opened my eyes to the opportunity we have here. Yet, many don't take advantage of it.

I am not saying everyone is meant to be rich. But you can always end up making more than you are now.

All it takes is planning and action. That is when the prosperity mindset starts to take hold.

If someone hasn't made $500 before it can be quite hard to imagine. We all have to start somewhere.

But once you have done it, you want to make more.
