Google Not Indexing My Site

Hello,

I have a fairly new blog ( 2 weeks) that I have set up with google webmaster tools.

The problem is that it says that the last time Googlebat accessed my homepage was Sept 5. That is ten days ago. I find that quite odd since I have written articles, belong to social networks and submitted my URL to several search engines.

Is there something that I am not doing? I have had several other websites in the past and as far as I can remember Googlebot accessed the homepage fairly often even for it being a brand new site.

Thanks,
Max

If the website in question is your sig, then it has indexed your site....22 pages to be exact.

    Hey Max,
What you need to do is socialbookmark your site to several bookmark places like digg, and stumbleupon.

That should fix your problem oh and if you want the bots to frequent your site you must update it often.

You may also want to consider using Google's sitemap service. In the XML sitemap, you can tell Google how often you update your blog.
    Google Webmaster Central

Use a ping service like ping o matic. Definitely use a few social bookmarking sites, stumble upon, digg, and del.ici.ous are a few. Also, find a few blogs that you can leave a post at that dont have the nofollow tag.

There isn't a need to submit your blog to the search engines anymore. This can actually make the process to get indexed take longer. All you need is one good link from a site that gets crawled regularly. So the social sites work or if you have another site you could throw a link from that as well.

    Read what it says:

That was the last time they accessed your HOME PAGE. It's not the last time they visited your site.
You need to check your logs for when they visit any other page on your site, besides your home page.
