SEO deflecting strategies for ripoffreport

Anyone ever mess around with deflecting negative traffic to external positive articles? I'm not talking about backlinking to positive articles, but a deflection from the referrer? I'm not sure if I've stumbled on to something or people just don't talk about it because it's that obvious.

I suppose this is similar to what people do when taking over auctioned domains.

Instead of doing it yourself and getting hit or miss results, why not just a hire a pro ORMS firm?

ORMS - Online reputation management services?
If there is a pro for hire, then there would also be a DIY solution. Is there a better place to talk about tricks of the trade?

If a negative ripoff article links to a site, then forward those visitors to a more positive article. When this happens, the idea is that the positive article would become more popular.

So because some poor customer has the right to complain about your shoddy service you want to be able to deflect it to a made up one so you look good

        Is that about right?

No, but close. An ex-employee anonymously and deceptively wrote a comment with malicious intent. ....There is too much red-tape with the TOS at ripoff report to do anything other than just let the article exist.

ripoffreport has its own readers. You cannot deflect those.
You can rank several pages above the page that concerns you, for the same keywords.

Best thing, long term, is to respond to all reviews, even the ones on ripoffreport.

            And to get good reviews.

It's nice to have nothing but You're the best. In the real world, if you have enough clients, you'll have someone who's got up on the wrong side of the bed or someone you've not treated perfectly.

Trick is to get all the happy-happy's to write their nice thought about you on some online platform.

I understand helpful responses for other review sites, but ....defending the business on ripoff report, will drive that article to the top and I'd rather not use ripoffreport for business growth.

You mean, if you defend yourself, they move the page to the top of the results on ripoff?

If you've got good reviews on other sites, why do you even bother with ripoff?

Yes. The more time a visitor spends on an article, the more relevant it becomes. Ripoff report articles are a distraction, self-perpetuating, mostly drama, and they crush efficiency.

I bother because there is a solution and it's useful to have options should this happen to another client. If the article is to be buried, or suppressed, then I'm interested in technical details.

I'm against ripoffreport tactics and I'm looking for helpful tips to push down their relevance to a site.

Side Note: When googling "Warrior Forum ripoff" There are 3 ripoff reports concerning the injustice regarding the Warrior Forum, but I don't think these articles deserve to be on page one of google.

The forum is not on page one as there is no page one per se , but they may be for that search term and if you bothered to read the top 3 nothing there 3 yrs old nothing new

Case and point. Yes. These are 3 years ago and depending on the "keyword" search, these do not go away unless they are suppressed.

Page 1 of google using these keywords.

Are you really here because you want to talk about this topic or keep throwing in the extra jabs?

  • It is very hard to deflect negative traffic . You can at most bury these reports by optimizing your other profiles on different platforms.
