Salesletter Fonts

What fonts do you use for sales letters and why? I know some fonts are easier to read, some look cartoonish, some look professional and some are unreadable.

I lean toward Time New Roman or Tahoma, but is there one font that is better for conversion than others?

    Big fat bolded Tahoma for headlines, arial for main text. Arial seems the easiest on the eyes but Verdana is a close runner up.
