I don't know about DreamHost hosting, but with Hostgator you can set up completely independent sites, each with their own unique URL. And you need only the one hosting account.

Of course, you will have to pay extra for the domain names, but you can get domain names for less than $10 for a year from GoDaddy, or Name Cheap.

Have a nice day.

If dreamhost is your provider, I feel very sorry for you.

You actually have to pay to get some help on the phone last time I checked. There are a long list of other reasons as well.

You can put all your sites on one host. I use hostmonster which is sister to bluehost.

Both give a great easy to navigate cpanel that make installation and management of sites a complete snap. Both offer 24/7 phone support at no additional charge.

unlimited domains and opportunity to install many data bases and add almost unlimited content.I say almost unlimited because once you reach 200,000 files they will suggest you spread out. It takes a while to get that big so If you are just looking at a couple of sites you probably won't see anything to be worried about.

Click my banner. I dare ya.

No. You don't need to have separate hosting but you definitely need to consider having separate domain name.

No. It's not important unless ... forget it. But you might want to consider to Whois protect it so that people wouldn't know who is the owner.
