Basecamp vs free Google apps for project management
One of the most popular project management apps is Basecamp. It's priced at $99 per month.
My question is, why do people use Basecmap (or any paid project management software at that), while Google offers all the functionalities for free?
Google Drive for file storage and sharing files.
Google Calendar for reminders and recurring reminders (for example: "Send today's task report", repeated Monday-Friday).
Google Groups for creating "private chat rooms" where team members can collaborate.
The only advantage programs like Basecamp mention is "have everything under one roof" - But once each team member is logged in to their Google account, all the Google apps are essentially "the same place".
What do you think?
Thanks in advance!
