When doing video marketing, is a slideshow as good as "live-action"?

1- I'm kinda shy.

2- With my webcam, the video is ALWAYS choppy as it happens often.

    as long as you know how to do a proper slideshow and you know what&how to speak, it will have a good effect.

      I personally feel that nothing is as effective as seeing a person live. That
      way you really get to connect with your audience.

      Of course, if you're lousy in front of a camera, stutter, look like something
      the cat coughed up from last night's dinner, then you might want to go
      the slide show route.

      I'm no pretty boy, but I still prefer doing my own live videos, though I do do
      some slide shows as well if I feel that the message is better conveyed using
      that medium.

        A good slideshow can be very effective with music and relevant pictures as well.

      Let's remember - you can order a high quality and cheap voiceover and it will look and sound 10x more credible.

    I totally agree.

    If you have a slide show video and your voice does not stand out or you cannot manipulate your tone in a way that will help maintain viewer interest then it makes much sense to hire a professional voice over artist.

    Having such a professional voice over will help to keep the video sticky and get the audience to continue on watching it if you can grab them auditorily.

    But, you also need to create a script that will get people to take action and move onto the next step like get to your squeeze page.

    The video is just like a headline. The job of the headline is to move the viewers eyeballs to the sub-headline and on and on.

    If your recorded video or slide show video does not grab the audience then you video will simply not bring as many visitors to your squeeze page.

    Absolutely and one of the best systems to use is a program called Slideshare.

    You can add audio and it works just like a video and ranks highly in the search engines.
