I know that this isn't a good choice but there are some people out here that can not afford $20 for hosting and a domain. I've been trying to get clients for article writing services over the past few days but I refuse to write for a penny a word. I'd rather write for free. Anyway, since that is out of my system. I own a laptop but have to use my public library's or Borders bookstore's WiFi. Between the two they are open 12 hours a day. At first, I didn't have the correct mindset to succeed but now I am ready and willing to work. The only barrier now is no hosting money. However, I hear that blogger is the next best place to have your mother site. I'm not here looking for freebies but can anyone offer any tips on using blogger as your main site? What is allowed? What is not allowed? Can you track? How many blogs can you have under one name? Can you start a list? Can you deliver product? Any tips or links are appreciated? I own a few WSOs and am a member of the War Room so coming up with traffic tactics should not be a problem. I just need to know what my options are and what my restrictions are when using Blogger. There are likely other people that want the same answers as me. To end this I want to quote one of Warrior Forum's elite "...you could end up going in circles in reverse at 100 miles an hour. Lots of people live like that." All I want is to go forward. Stopping at a few red lights along the way |

In my opinion there are NO restrictions at all with Blogger Blogs !! That is all I use is free Blogger Blogs. And I can easily afford the monthly fee for regular hosting but dont do it because Blogger Blog is so dang easy to use. I have 14 blogger blogs and use Aweber to build my Lists. As far as I know you can open up as many accounts as want. But I do strongly , strongly advise to use Blogger on your own domain. Its only $10 for the year for a Domain and I say this because you want to have Ownership of your Domain. Anyway, stop wasting time and go forward with building your own Blogger Blog Empire !! |

1) What is allowed? Blogger is a blog platform, so you have to make a blog But you can use Adsense (it's integrated in the platform) and yes, you can promote what you want. You don't need even to have a lot of post. I have blogs with only one post that are earning to me also 50$ daily 2) What is not allowed? There are not so much limits. I don't know exactly how many blogs per account you can have. I usually don't make more than 15 blogs per account (yes, you can have more than one account... )I know for sure that you can't make more than 50 posts (or action) daily per each blog: in this case the blog will ask you to type a captcha code.3) Can you track? Yes, just install some free tracker. I use extremetracking.com. Blogger allows to add some widget in the layout where you can put any html/javascript code 4) How many blogs can you have under one name? see above 2) 5) Can you start a list? yes, as I said in 2) you can add your code for the optin form 6) Can you deliver product? No, as far as I know, they don't allow you to upload any file (except images, because they use google picasa in background) 7) Any tips or links are appreciated? Well, just google, is plenty of info about blogger. My suggestion: it's free, so create as many blog as you can. Just make a bit of keyword research, use those keywords in the blog name (like your-keyword.blogspot.com). Add 1 post, then wait for google to find your blog. When google will find your blog, add 15-20 posts per blogs, scheduling to post 0-2 articles every 1 day Good luck |

From what I see: you buy whateverdomainname.com and simply redirect/forward whateverdomainname.com to mybloggerblog.blogspot.com... Is that it?

It is my opinion for the long term, you should eventually move your efforts towards owning your own domain and hosting. Should Blogger decide to shut you down for whatever reason, all of your hard work goes down the drain. After you have made some profits, start investing in buying domain names from Namecheap or Godaddy and have control over your property. What if Blogger shuts down for some reason....there goes your blogs. I use Blogger to test niches. If I get a decent response from a keyword with Blogger, I will then graduate to purchasing a similar domain and go from there. This is like real estate...get the deed by purchasing the domain. You are in fact leasing a spot with Blogger using the blogspot.com at the end of your name. If it's worth your time and effort blogging, go a step further and purchase a domain name. As far as delivering a product, I found that E-junkie is a cheap way to deliver downloadable products. It's just 5 bucks a month. Just my 2 cents, Monique |

Some of the top money making blogs in some of the most competitive niches are on Blogger. I have created a few authority sites over the years using them. You can also do a search and find plenty of sites that will show you how to customize your blog to look more professional. Like the others I would agree that if you could afford to get a domain from Godaddy or another place to register for a couple of bucks and then point your domain to Blogger you should do that. A couple of the posts above talked about "custom domains" from Blogger which is $10 but you don't have to buy from them to point your domain to them. Matt |

Use just enough of those penny a word article writing gigs to pay for your hosting. A starter plan at HostGator is $3.95 a month and a domain is ten bucks a year. Two or three of those penny a word gigs you're turning your nose up at would pay your hosting bills. Quote:
See my first comment. Preferring to write for free rather than taking paying jobs that you think are beneath you often leads to having no money for seed. Okay, this just proves that you do know how to find the resources to buy what you want. You said you finally had the right mindset to succeed, yet you don't want to lower yourself to earning money to pay for your tools of the trade. You'd rather settle for your second-best option. If you want to use Blogger because you think it's the best tool, go for it. Otherwise, suck it up, write some cheapo articles and rise above it. Just tell yourself that you're only doing it to raise seed money, and that this , too, shall pass. Probably not the answer you're looking for, but it's the best one I can offer...

If you're using Blogger for affiliate promo, that's still ok but for selling directly there seem not that professional. It cost less than $1 for a .info domain and hosting can be free to start with. Just spend some time searching them. |

And I Hate to burst your balloon but I did surely read the TOS !! ![]() What I said was in relation to what the OP poster was talking about and IMO there was NO restrictions within the context of what he was asking !! So next time you might want to make a concerted effort in finding things out before you speak untruths !!
