The purpose i asking this question is not more than to give motivation to other warrior especially new IM, like me

The moment we read your successful story, it will "boost" our spirit to become a successful IM like you

So, please share with us here. You can tell anything about your experience as an IM.

1. Tell us how you get involve into IM or make money online?
2. How is your life before and after become a successful IM?
3. How much do you earn in a month?
4. And if you don't mind, tell us what is latest car you just bought? BMW? Audi? Mercz Benz? and how much you bought it?

You don have to answer all. Just tell what you like
#earn #month

    1. I got involved in IM by starting out dropshipping on Ebay. From there I found out that that I didn't need to sell physical goods to make money online. I spent a good amount of time being distracted by all the ebooks and courses out there, then finally buckled down and started making real money less than a year ago.

    2. Before IM I was in the roofing industry... DAMN THAT SUCKED!

    3. Last month I totalled $5400+ in profits for all my online businesses.

    4. Not so impressive... An XTerra for my wife...

    1. I got involved in IM when I realised I could get paid for writing. This was about nine years ago, when I was doing non-IM things at the time and IM wasn't a great priority here really. Then four or five years ago, I discovered eBay and went full time selling physical products for a year or two. I don't eBay much at all these days, but somewhere during that time I got reeled into IM completely and can't imagine doing anything else now.

    2. Previously, I've been a classroom assistant, dressmaker, nursing assistant, barmaid... quite a few things.

    3. Much more than I earn in a week, but substantially less than I earn in a year.

    4. I don't drive. After I accidentally dislocated my driving instructor's shoulder and wrote off his front wheel in one simple manoeuvre, he said he'd be in touch. Six years on, I'm still waiting...

I'm not really successful in a 'look at the noughts on my bank balance and the gas-guzzlers in my garage' kind of way, but I do consider myself successful in that I can work pretty much on my own terms and make enough to stay at home with the kids, with plenty of time to learn more and earn more.

    Numbers do not count.

One can tell you that earns $5,000 per month or just $1,000 per month.
One can be OK with $3,000 per month and another one may need more
    than $10,000 per month.

Chances are that you have read about IMers that earn even $100,000
    month.

    Knowing the numbers doesn't help.

What does help to know about IM indeed is this:

You are limited ONLY by your imagination.
It's like being in a room without a ceiling.

There is no border, no ending line to what
you can do, how much you can earn, etc.

I think FEW - very few - jobs offer that perspective.
And this is perhaps the MAIN reason why IM is and
will always be a DREAM JOB for people around the
    globe.

Once you accept this then you just need to discover a
    vision and think BIG...

    And Act.

I think John summed it up very beautifully.

Instead of asking how much other people earn (some Warriors might find that question offensive!) ask 'what kind of income can give me the lifestyle that I've always wanted?'

I realised that the moment I stopped doing mental fantasies about all the other gurus' earnings and start thinking about how much I can make this month and next, I started making more money by being more focused!

By the way, the last car I bought with my IM money was a Suzuki Swift, might not cost much in your country but over here in Singapore, cars are expensive.

Most of people love numbers. Especially when we see there's a lot of numbers in our bank statment. What will you do next? Stop? Definitely, work more harder, right? Same thing here, hopefully your numbers will inspire others to work more harder.

Did you notice, most in the seminars, talk shows, selling ebooks (about how to make money), what the first topic that they will tell? Is is direct to the point or telling you how much they earn from doing this and that, how's their life change after doing this and that, telling you about their properties, etc...why? Sure to attract more people to get involve in their making money bussiness...easy for them to sell the products...

It's normal human behavior. We love to see numbers, and we like and easily copy people who make a lot of numbers! We like to listen to others successful stories bkoz we also wanna be one of them.
That's why i wrote this thread.

Sometimes we all need mental fantasies (i like to called it dreams).Remember "nothing is impossible"?...Yes, it's true, you can achieve almost anything when you think you can. But..it must be realistic and within our capability.
(Stop thinking of star wars! or marvel superheroes)....and don't just sit over there an start dream, dream and dream...there must be an action!

By the way, thank you for participating in this thread. I really appreciate it.
I am in the process of learning. So, do correct me if i'm wrong.

Let's continue with more stories. Guys it's your turn. Start typing now!

I think it is so true that it is the lifestyle you want and not the money directly in itself.

The 4 Hour Workweek really brought about this paradigm shift in me.

Seriously with $3000-5000/Month you can live really quite well. Especially as an Internet Marketer 'coz you can live anywhere.

And they may - or may not be - telling the truth! Some of the claims are pure fiction.

"What do you earn" is often asked here - and there is no way to know if the numbers people tell you about are factual or not. I'm often skeptical when I see people quickly willing to state their income as many consider that to be private information. The dollars that motivate you are the ones you earn - not the money in someone else's bank account.

There are many success stories on this forum - but it's the methods used to reach success that will help you, not the personal income of that person.

Why is it so taboo to talk about what you earn? EVERY time this question gets asked people say "ohh thats not whats important" or "you could just lie!"

This whole forum is based on trust so of course you COULD lie but then again you could be lying about all the methods and techniques you use too. So why are we trusting ANYTHING someone says.

I was taught humility from a very young age so I try to make certain I do not come across as a braggart. Also, at one point we knew that if we made 10k each month we would be soooo satisfied... now that number constantly increases.

Also, in our wonderfully lawyer happy society many people try to keep this stuff quiet because there are people out there that would love to know just how much money they can potentially get from you with a big fat law suit.

Just a few thoughts on why many do not feel comfortable giving actual numbers.

Yea, for me the dream is all about a remote lifestyle.

With $4,000 a month you might as well consider yourself a millionaire if you want to spend some time in countries where the exchange rate is huge...which I do.

The sky is the limit and if its a private jet you're after, you can get there, but it's going to take innovation and motivation.

I have full time job and IM is more like a profitable
          hobby for me.

3 years ago I got a spam email about 'paid to read emails'.

I started googling 'make money' so I learned about
'affiliate programs' and 'resell rights'. I decided to
mix those 2 models and to see what will happen.

The first year I was 'the newbie target' and I made
n.o.t.h.i.n.g . But I studied and learned a lot and
second year I managed to make a few hundreds a month.

Last six months I average $2000/mo working just 1 hour
per day plus some weekend hours.

The key is to read a lot of quality books and test what
works for you. People who love learning and experimenting
with their knowledge allways find the way.

[quote=Jil888;126677]The purpose i asking this question is not more than to give motivation to other warrior especially new IM, like me[ /quote]
Jil888, John makes a very powerful point. In the past when I have mentored and coached people (across different niches/ markets) I have found that a very small minority were actually motivated by money or by any numbers.

The majority of them did not see any level of success until two things happened:

    1. They had to find what their deep motivation was. I'm talking going deeper than simply "freedom" or "life style". What does freedom mean to you? It's actually a form of the Socratic method. Freedom could mean spending more time with your children. Okay, what does that mean? It could mean attending every single sporting event and every single play they are in. But what does that mean? You can add hundreds of deeper reasons why you would want to go into business for yourself - online / offline / or both.

Going deep, visualizing it, and feeling it so it becomes your emotional reality and creates those permanent neural strands in your brain will motivate you far more than money ever will or someone else's success.

    2. Expand their mindset. The first step usually being developing an abundance mindset because we are conditioned by the media, our very own schooling, and sometimes, our own family to think in terms of scarcity. Like the current "recession" or hard times, I'm already hearing "the sky is falling" from some people around me.

I got into IM about a decade ago when I was a financial planner and I met a young man who was barely 20 making the same money that I did passively. I met him at a real estate seminar and since then I've never looked back. Since then I've had a boatload of coaches and mentors, many of whom I've never met, but their works inspired me to take action, get focused, and made me realize that if I wanted to live the life of my dreams I had to:

    a) Plan for it

    b) Willing to pay the price

    c) Not allow distractions and obstacles get in the way

    d) Make adjustments when something wasn't working

Since I don't define my success by the type of car I drive I don't see any point in sharing that here. I don't share publicly what I make but I haven't had a job in years. The freedom and lifestyle that IM has afforded me is simply priceless. It's opened my eyes to an endless stream of opportunities.

    Good luck!

dream to earn thousand $ a month, get a new car, house
It's great to have dreams - if you turn them into concrete goals and then develop a plan of action to reach those goals. Too often, it's easier to dream and plan how to spend the money you "will earn" than to buckle down and learn how to start earning that money.

Identify how much you can invest in your business each month and then decide where you need to put that money - such as domains, site builder such as xsitepro, good hosting accounts. Make a plan for what you will do and do it - rather than buying into the "make money" products everyone tries to sell to you.

Be very choosey about what you download and buy - even free ebooks and reports require an expenditure of time and time is money. Focus only on what you need to do today and this week to reach your short term and long term goals.

Above all - decide what area of work YOU want to do online and don't jump from one thing to another to another. That's the big dream killer for many.

Join the War Room, read threads on bestwarriorthreads.com - use the search function when you need to know about a certain product or method.

I think the whole income comparison thing is something that people new to IM focus on because they have no numbers of their own to work with.

It's understandable. I remember doing it myself.

As you start to earn and the reality of what you're capable of kicks in, you build your business by comparing this week's income with last week's. And this month's with last month's. And this year's with last years, settings goals to achieve more.

I can't remember the last time I considered what someone else might be earning. But I could give you a minute by minute account of my own earnings from April 2000!

This is an interesting little thread going on here. I grew up dirt poor and rarely had 100% faith there would be a good "next meal". I worked over the years as a mechanic on anything with moving parts, sales in just about any form... Good gosh the list goes on. I did whatever I could to make sure my kids had a nice place to live and food on the table. I was never more than a paycheck or two away from DEAD BROKE!

A few years ago I was just above the poverty level and then got into a successful outside sales position. ABout that time I met my future wife Liz Tomey and she was doing her own thing online doing Mail Order/ Direct mail. She wasn't making a fortune but she was making enough to not have to punch a time clock for anyone else.

Somewhere along the way we got rocking along and now we are both working full time online and making a very nice living. I won't get into numbers but I can say we have 5 children between us who never have to worry about where the next meal is coming from. :-)

We cover all our homes expenses and have many of the toys we would like to play with. She has a 2007 Shelby GT Mustang and I have two huge 4x4 toys I play with on a regular basis.

The actual numbers do not really matter, the key is we have all we need and most of what we want. We both can take off and do things with the kids and their school stuff almost any time we want. Our children do not have to hear or see us stress over "the next paycheck".

Ultimately it will be nice to take and early retirement while most of our kids are still in school and outsource the management of our residual income streams and only work when we want to work and not because we HAVE to work.

I don't know if I'm "weird" or not- I actually kind of hope I am because every time I'm NOT weird I'm surrounded by mediocrity.

Being in IM or anything else, for the money isn't shameful or immoral. Anyone who tells you it is has wealth and success issues of their own that they will have to overcome to achieve any major success in any field.

Put simply, I am in it for the money and proud of it!

Look, if i wasn't in it for the money, I'd be on my boat right now, fishing pole in one hand, margarita in the other like I told Moffatt yesterday.

But I AM in it for the $$'s, so here I am, wading through the confusion, trying to find something, anything that can give me a slight edge- an extra 1%, save me 10 minutes/day, etc.

If it weren't for love of money, we'd all still be living in caves.

I'd be happy to share blow by blow sales and net figures, except for the hassle of dealing with the 20% or so of people who think that if you have more $$'s than they do, you should be ridiculed, attacked, or that it's ok to steal from you. Robin Hood was no hero, and his story has done more to injure the cause of us upwardly-aiming folks than any other.

I am frankly SHOCKED and SADDENED that so many so-called "Warriors" are falling for the "it's not about the money" mantra.

If it's not about the money, how do you keep score? If not for money, why do it at all? Remember, there is no increase in lifestyle WITHOUT MONEY!

I teach people how to make money exactly as I have done- in real estate, IM, and offline, exactly BECAUSE so many people have an issue with those of us who are in it for the money.

Dollars, pounds, yen, whatever- money is NOT simply paper- it is the ABSOLUTE PROOF that people value what you have to offer.

And if you're NOT in this to offer greater and greater value to others, what the h#ll are you in it for?

And if you're NOT in this to offer greater and greater value to others, what the h#ll are you in it for?
Yes , i agreed with you. It's all about numbers...it's all about money...
I'm here, in this forum, also seeking an opportunity to make an extra money...at the same time learning, asking advise from people who already make big money.

I'm not sure about the exact percentage, but i can say it's more than 90% people here, joining the forum because they want to learn how to make more money. Am i rite?

I think i should open another thread - polling, asking people why they are here? accidentaly get in to forum:p, seeking opportunity to make money online, etc...

      What do u think,cashcorpinc?

  • 1. I almost tried Ebay once (The whole wholesale thing) so I was already interested in working from home. Then about 8 months ago I came across the rich jerk website one night and it captured my imagination. It was the first and last E-book I've bought. So much info is available for free! I had my first site up within 10 days.
    2. Before IM I made money selling intangible goods on a game... (Not a lot of money but I'm only 17)
    3. After setting up my first site in April I'm making around $5900 a month now.
    4. I bought a VW Transporter van for my surfing hobbies and I love it!

    1) Fed up with offline work. No money, no time for the kids, no life. Found a few money making programs, got scammed, found one that worked, and the rest is history.

    2) A lot happier now than it was back then!

    3) Between $10k-$17k currently, dependant on season.

    4) Peugeot 206 1.1.

Just an ordinary guy, earning a good wage by telling people what they want to hear, and giving them what they want. Nothing complicated.

I have seen this question come up quite a bit. Newbies want to hear what other people make, to see what is possible. It helps them establish their goals, and realize the possibilities.

The veterans make enough to cover their bills, and the significance of a monetary goal has diminished. They also realize that you can make what you want in this industry. So hearing what someone else makes is not important to them.

I fiddled around a little last fall in IM. In February I found the first niche that I made any money in. I have put 40 to 80 hrs a month into IM since then. In March I made less than $100. Every month has increased by at least 30%. This month was the first month that I broke the $1000 mark.

After losing my job in July, I don't drive near as much. I have Chevy Cavalier (my commuter) and I don't think that I have started it all month. We usually take my wife's car.

        Are you kidding me??

This thread is more than a year old, and after this month's "how much do you make" warfare, we really don't need to start this again!

        Just my 2 cents!

I didn't realize how old it was. I just looked and the person that started the thread hasn't been on since May.

            1. Tell us how you got involved into IM or make money online? I joined an Internet Education Company in October 2007 and created my own Internet Marketing Company in June 2008

            2. How is your life before and after become a successful IM? I used to own gas stations from 1990 to 2007, owned 6 at one time. Since October 2007, I have been full time Internet Marketer. I live 3 weeks in San Diego and 1 week in Lake Tahoe per month. Love my life, no more employees, overhead and stress.

            3. How much do you earn in a month? averaged $15K to $20K per month in 2009, My goal is $25K+ per month in 2010.

            4. And if you don't mind, tell us what is latest car you just bought? I have a 2006 GMC Yukon and a 1969 GTO Muscle car, also an old Toyota 4-runner at my Tahoe house. Going to buy and Escalade in 2010.

I saw this was an old thread but like sharing my story, giving hope to those who want to become Internet Marketer Fulltime. Happy 2010 My Friends !!!
