If you have only $100 to invest on internet marketing, what will you do?

I would stick the $100 back in my pocket and research this forum as much as possible.

Do keyword research and find good keywords
Write articles at night, or write content for your sites
If needed, write for others and get some more money
Invest in backlinks to your sites (use the $100 now)

First, start looking at offering services. That is the best way to get INSTANT cash in your pocket. You can offer your services for $20 here at the WF. Save the $80 for whatever, and invest some of the revenue you are getting for those services.

Then, start building WP powered sites and do some bum marketing.

The best way to learn affiliate marketing is to have other people pay you to do stuff for them. They are paying you to do the things that make them money. You get to learn affiliate marketing and GET PAID for learning. Cant beat that.

Use $1 and get a free trial at Aweber.

Register a domain at godaddy for $7 using a coupon code.

Get a reseller account at Hostgator (first month free with coupon)

So far only $8 spent.

Set up a Wordpress blog. (free)

Do some keyword research and find some good low comp longtails.

Get some unique content written about 10 articles (as low as $2 per article)

Add adsense to your site.

There's a cheap WSO for a listbuilding plugin.

Your still under 50 bucks here.

Start doing some backlink building. (you can find some good places to build free backlinks)

Get your site ranked high.

You'll begin to start earning revenue and building a list.

Flip your site and offer some affiliate products to your list.

Use the proceeds to have your own unique product developed and then you can start attracting JVs and building your own affiliates from your list.

Oh and of course...Get a War Room membership!

You need not invest money. You should invest your time in gaining knowledge. Forget about that $100, put that in a savings account.

If I only had $100, I would stick it back in my pocket and get to work on the free methods to start to build a business that can generate me some money so I can invest in my business..

If I only had $100 to invest in my business,
I'd go for the dollar trial of Aweber even though
there are services I like better.

Next, I'd get the $9.95 "Baby" hosting from Hostgator,
and register a domain name with Namecheap ($9.29)
even though it's more expensive than GoDaddy.

I've just hear too many horror stories about GoDaddy
and I'm a firm believer in there being fire anywhere
you see smoke.

Ok, so far we've spent about $21.

The next thing I would do is spend $37 for the War Room
membership because you're gonna need to run a
WSO fairly soon.

The rest of the money - about $32 or so, I'd buy a case
of Red Bull from Sam's club and get started researching and
writing articles to sell as PLR packs in a WSO.

honestly the yola subdomain is going to be hard to rank for a competitive keyword but thinking into the future it will be good to optimize your site to a high searched keyword . You will upgrade to a dot com when you start making a profit .

Go to OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite and get a free pdf maker .

You will make a free report to give away to visitors for email addresses captured by your autoresponder . You will start another report with a step by step of your venture . Write down every little step... what worked and even what didn't .

This will be leveraged into a product also.

Use the keyword you are optimizing for in the title of the free report . Put the free report on a sub page also named for your keyword .

Write articles using the keyword . You will use these articles for traffic as backlinks to a sub-domain will not carry over when you upgrade.

Write 10 articles on your keyword and submit to a few directories . Point all articles to your freebie page . You may find some directories will not accept this for lack of content . These are not directories you will use just now .

Now let them simmer for a while .

Go to some traffic exchanges and make a splash/ capture page and build your list . Research your niche to the point you can present yourself in an authorative way .

Teach your list what you are learning . You will lose some members that know more than you . This is okay . You will never sell to someone who knows more than you anyway . They are not your target for now .

Find a related product that pays instant commissions . Put your (cloaked) affiliate link in all your teaching emails at te bottom of the page in your pS: file .

If you are doing your niche homework ... you will notice you are not losing nearly as many list members . This means you are gaining authority through knowledge .

Your list should be growing from the surfing .

Now check and see which article is getting the most views but more importantly more click throughs and also which ones are ranked the highest in the serps .

Link all your articles to the one gettting the most click throughs as well as your landing page .

This should get you some more searches and also move the article with the most click throughs up in the serps .

Bookmark all your articles on a site like propeller. Bookmark the feature article on as many social sites as you can find . If you understand rss feeds .. use them to your advantage ... if you don't ...study them until you understand .

Keep repeating the freebies , articles ,bookmarks and surfing until you get about 2000 list members .

Now compile your step by step and replace the instant commission product with your own. make sure that you do this slowly at first . Do not take a product that is converting completly away until your own product is replacing the income .

By now you should be making enough money to start upgrading and maybe even outsourcing to an extent .

Keep tweeking and split testing until you are converting at a rate that is paying you the money you need .

Now start with a new product and do the whole thing again.

Now aren't you glad you bought the big bag of coffee ?

First, I would not quit your job til you have a stable income online. As much as you hate it, work on both for a while and then move over.

Second, (I am being a realest here) I would keep that $100 because you may need it for bills or foods or other suggestions on starting a site. IM is a excellent field, however it is not easy to succeed in and make it. I guess 1 in 2500 succeed. Being here you have a better chance.

I use to spend over $1,000 a month on Adwords (PPC), then I learned the BEST traffic is free traffic, I now get 100 times (literally) more traffic at no cost except investing my time on marketing.

Do the following For Traffic:
- SEO
- Video Marketing
- Article Marketing (which I do little of)
- Document Sites
- Question/Answer Sites
- Press Release
- checkout Kim Roach's 21 ways to get traffic (specially if you have a blog)
BE CREATIVE. If you put out what everyone else does, you will only get that back.

First and foremost if you only have $100 to your name hold on it at first. I would start with affiliate marketing and free methods of advertising. You can get TONS of traffic and at no cost to you if you do this right.

Just a few ways you can get a ton of free targeted traffic if you have more time than money.

Shoot a PM with some of the graphics work you have done.

Perhaps I'll give you a shot.

I would go with the basics that you truly need and avoid the "bright shiny object" syndrome. The bare essentials would include:

Hosting - around $10 per month (I'm rounding out these figures)
Autoresponder - around $20 per month
2 Domains - $20 (I'd assume if you were serious you'd want to set up at least 2 sites)

OR

Scratch the .com domains, but 2 .INFOs for around $2 from Godaddy and run a WSO ($57 total, since you're not yet a War Room member). That'd cost you just a smidge under $90.

So you have approximately $50 upfront expenses, with another $50 to carry you through the second month! Now I'd use every available free traffic method to start driving traffic ASAP since I'm out of a job now!

Hi first thing first, internet marketing is not just about money, do you have a plan of what niche you want to enter.my advice do you research and check out the competition before you spend any money..

I would use wordpress to build my own blog.The money will be used on the domain registration and hosting package.But first I will make it clear that what kind of business should I do.

My friend, I don't mean to sound like a pessimist, but if you only have $100 to invest into your business, you need to have someone wake you up.

Here are my recommendations:
1. Keep your day job and start saving every single penny. Forgo the pleasures in life for a while, if you want to be free. Spend a bit every month educating yourself. This will be your first business investment.
2. Save up enough until you have at least one year of living expenses in the bank.
3. If you are still with me, now save up at least another $10,000 to start your business. Tell your daytime job, bye,bye. The work now really starts.
4. If you are still with me, start to learn as much as you can. and work damn hard at it.

If you can put up with your job for a while, keep learning and investing into your online presence. Very few are a hit in the beginning and the majority of us have to kick down the door over time.

You can do it, but it is not a quick fix or fast cash. It takes time and dedication.

If you can keep up this formula, you will be a multi-millionaire in under 10 years, 5 if you are extra bright and dedicated. I will tell you that no job will do this for you. It took me too many years to learn that simple lesson. To believe anything else is a huge lie that you are telling yourself!

Oh, the time that I mention does include the time you spend at your j.o.b. (Oh, job stands for just over broke!)

Do you have what it takes? That's up to you!

I'd spend it all on outsourced blog posts ... find a product (for free), become an affiliate, set up a free wordpress blog on an existing domain and post 2 posts each day.

First of all, I would not recommend leaving your day job and jumping straight into IM! Just start working on IM on weekends and nights. If you have success then only quit because its not a thing that everyone can do. Also, many people make money but much compared to what a regular daytime job would be paying you.

So, DONT take the gamble of directly jumping in IM. its a myth that its money online but in reality its the same effort online/offline.

You've already received from great advice here (from the "Instructor," "Andy" and more) but I would start by recommending that you DO NOT quit your day job until you are seeing significant (and steady) income.

After that, I think that offering your graphic services is a good place to start until you can work into a more "residual type" business model.

One example for you to look at is Max's "Graphics Club Monthly" membership program. I pay $77/mo to be a part of this site and if you're a talented designer, there's no reason you can't do something similar.

At the end of the day, a Positive Mental Outlook and dedicating yourself to taking Massive Action will help you find a way to reach your goals!
