What does Banned mean next to someone's name?

I see it next to the guy selling the Craig's list ad listing program.

Also, why does my picture not load? No answer given. Just failed

    That they were banned.

    Alternatively, they could be joking around too. Some people have occasionally put it under their own names.

      My guess is that they have been banned from the forum...

      Unless, like Mr Rinnert suggests, they put it under their own name.

      As far as your picture, it may be too large? I have had this happen in other forums... Just a thot.

        thx, do you know how to make my jpeg picture smaller and how much smaller??

        Why doesn't it just automatically take the picture and size it to the alloted space?

      asking what banned means in this particular situation could mean something different, that is why I asked.

      If a person asked what a radio spot was and you said it was a radio spot, that would not be much help.

      why would someone joke about being banned? Seems very strange to position themselves like that in what appears to be a negitive way???

        Banned: The user account may not be used to post for some specified period of time, ranging from one day to forever. In most cases, it's a limited time, and meant as a warning to stop some destructive behavior.

          So, you do not concur with anyone saying some people to it to themselves for a joke? As one person said? I cant figure out why anyone would.

    Maybe they do not care to impress anyone?

    If I was genuinely interested in their signature link I would click on their name and see if their account is still functioning.

    If they have a Warrior Offer then I would look at the comments left by others, and determine myself if he is a trustworthy person.
