Is it fair to use the Warrior Forum for conversion rates?

Hello everyone!

I had a question for you IM product creators out there.

Is it fair to state warrior forum conversion rates as your real conversion rate?

I have noticed that WSO traffic converts really well - almost twice as well as other forum traffic.

Do any of you use WF traffic to state your conversion rates on your affiliate pages?

Is it fair?

Thanks for the input!

      Bike Mike,

      Good point.

Let's say that theoretically speaking, I offered my product at 37 dollars discount, 47 real price.

What if I were to state that my conversion rate was for the 37 price point, instead?

You could say that this product converts ____ from targeted traffic.

The reason it converts so well is not only because of this forum, but because the traffic that hits your wso is as "targeted" as it gets.

The thing is by default, I see WSO as the acutual value they are and not discounted. For the "REAL" price I would need more persuasion.

It would be part of the conversion rate but now the whole conversion rate, right?

To give an honest conversion rate shouldn't you state the rate from ALL traffic sources.

Why try to fudge the results? That annoys the H out of me when marketers do stuff like that.

I've seen some people selling websites with claims like "last month's revenue was $1500 with a 4.5% conversion rate!" and asking prices in line with annual gross.

They omit that these statistics are from a one-time WSO...in that context, I would equate that with fraud.

If you're just asking a general question though, I would say that no, it's not really fair to use the WSO as a gauge of anything but WSO performance.

I'm a big believer that you need to be not only honest from the perspective of literally what you are writing or claiming, but also in the spirit of it. So if warrior traffic is the only traffic you are getting, but then you are going to ask affiliates to promote something and claim that conversion rate - I think that's wrong.

Instead, get a wide range of traffic sources for your conversion rate - some from your list, get a few jv partners to do some pre-mailings for you, etc, then use that as a "targeted" visitor conversion rate - I believe that's a lot more fair than just using the WSO conversion #s.
