Are you talking about the changes to the marketplace? They announced that quite a while back, but I haven't noticed when it went into effect.

What I hate about it is that if you search for a specific term in the marketplace (say, money) it brings up a list of products, sorted by relevance to money (or whatever your search term is). If you change the dropdown bar to "sort by popularity" it sorts by popularity everything within that category, not everything within your search term.

Either its a bug they haven't worked out or aren't aware of, or I am a simpleton and haven't figured it out yet. The latter is more than likely...

Well, there's tons I don't like about it, not to mention the pint size font of
the stats section, but the thing I don't like the most is that you can't get a
list of more than 10 now. At least before you could list 50 products at a time
which made going through all the screens a lot faster.

IMO, this new layout is a total disaster on a 1 to 10 scale.

Of course, will take some time to get used to it.

      This is so much better

It was near impossible to get relevant results with the old system.
I just spent a few minutes looking and searching for products and found it very easy

Ken, I agree that the search does work better, but my goodness...it's so
darn ugly and cluttered now and only 10 results per search?

They could at least give us back the 50 results per search feature.

        Don't you think?

Wow, what a change, I really like it. Clickbank has always had 'screwy' results and now I find that the search works much better.

The marketplace categories are now on the left and there is impoved graphics so you can easily see what language, commission and if its recuring or not.

Well done Clickbank, I think they needed this.

I like the new format. I like that is sorts by relevance when you search instead of popularity of gravity. It might actually give other folks a chance to get their products promoted instead of just those that are already popular or those of people who already have huge affiliate bases.

    Yikes.

I'm not a fan of this new design. Many con's about this one.

Spicing up the old design, adding better search, etc. would
have been a better choice IMO.

I like it but why must companies make the text so un readable, the numbers like gravity are so small and are in such a crap colour they are so hard to read . Over all though, I like it. There is a lot more categories and will help find products in your niche.

    I read ya, Steven.

The font's so minute and in grey, no less!

The focus went to highlight on the commissions
part which I believe, is seriously going to hurt
people who are not going for 75% commissions.

Cause the first thing people see now are the
commission rates... NOT how much they are
    getting in cash.

(In other words... 75% of $20 sale loses out
    to 50% of $97 sale)

Oh yeah... bring back the 50 results per page!

Yeah I agree it's definitely prettier, the icons indicating recurring
commission and affiliate tools are also cool.

However, there was a case where the url for affiliate tools
was long and was cut off the screen, and there's no

    there also.

OK attached is a zipped excel file, you you should be able to unzip it to a folder on your desktop.

a lot of information to download so i have created tabs per category just go to the tab you want at the bottom and select download data

Dependant on your speed this may take some time and there is a counter in the top left.

you will need to enable macros when you open the file and the end page is just a download data page , just leave it site and no need to touch this page

you can select below then line and delete, if you do or are messing around slide the scroll back to the top if you cant see data

if for any reason you wish to stop the download holding the esc key will halt the macro

its a base set up that can download all data but, very basic, from here it can do anything you need it to do so if you have update requests please log them and if i get time i will issue a new version.

    cheers

Judging by the responses to this thread, I am wondering if we are all looking
      at the same page. :confused::confused::confused:

I realize that taste is subjective, but I'm baffled as to what about this new
format people like better than the old one and for what reason.

The "looks nicer" argument alone baffles me.

      It's UGLY AS SIN.

The stats are buried in 2 point font, the only thing ANYBODY will notice is
how much commission percent you're getting (which is meaningless if you're
going to promote a $20 at 75% over a $97 product at 50%), no way to list
more than 10 products at a time (which for some of us is a big deal) and no
way to get just NEW products, which, if you're looking for the latest
      items, is critical.

You now have about half the functionality that you used to have.

So again, I have to ask...are we all looking at the same page?:confused::confused:

yes download the app i built, it takes a little time for the bigger groups to download, so i may need to sub group that and i can build it to look for new products / do system updates if needed.

i have full lists in front of me now and finding stuff i have never seen plus if you copy the header and paste to CB you find the product 99% of the time first pop.

That's another thing...the dropdown boxes made things MUCH quicker.

A rollout of any new format on any platform always causes ruckus and emotional outpour, just like it is in this thread.

Apparently it hits home more to some than others.

It's still the same thing, same company, and will still make you money.

My guess would be just give it time and people will eventually shut up and/or get used to it.

Also, don't forget, typically when any new format is rolled out on a large scale like this, it (usually) always improves with user feedback.

I had mixed feelings about it but now that I think about it I like it better new and here is why:

For an affiliate looking to promote to a specific market it is easier to find products that are more relevant to what they are looking for. I used to spend hours trying to find niche specific products that are in English, that I have not offered to my lists yet, and that are highly relevant to what my lists want.

Another thing that I like about this new format is that when I first checked the new format I was able to spot what appears to be top-notch products with tiny gravity that I never knew existed.

I will be happy to offer those products to my lists. It seems that the product creators who wrote those products have a lot of credibility, credentials and expertise in their respective fields; the only reason they have tiny gravity is because they are not internet marketers, most of them have actual jobs in their respective field of expertise and apparantly they don't know how to artificially inflate gravity and do other tricks to stay on top of the market place, but the quality of the products seems very high.

I think ClickBank had that in mind when they re-designed the format. This will give the small guys a fair chance to promote their products and the competition will be more fair and based on quality and relevancy rather than on who has a better gravity script.

A friend of mine made an extremely high quality product, but it fell out of the marketplace before any affiliates found it and picked it up. I think it got maybe 100 hits total before it disappeared from the marketplace.

I think it's nice that some of the lesser known products might have a chance to be found now. In the old system, the same old stuff was always showing up because it was sorted by gravity or popularity. Of course new products won't have high gravity or popularity when they're new!

If nothing else, at least this gives new products a chance to be found, even if that chance is still pretty small.

You know you can always change the category... it's just a matter of finding one that you think best describes your products... also, ClickBank notified all publishers a long time ago and sent all the proposed future category for each publisher's product and gave us all an opportunity to change the proposed category before it was finalized

    I don't like it either.

You can't make out the gravity/stats very clearly.

-- most of us marketers have egos and we check those stats probably everday.. ie. what position we are at.. drooling over gravity.. and so on.. and this competition actually creates buzz and fuels sales big time.

It will take some getting used to :'(

Well it looks more attractive, and I was able to find a category relevant to my niche. But it was hard to search Clickbank before, and it's still hard to search it now. They need to get more relevant. If I search for a product called "Keys to Raising Good Show Dogs" I don't want every product in the marketplace that has anything to do with "key"... I just want it on dogs.
