Ping And RSS - Are They The Same Thing?

Okay, so every post I make to my blog automatically gets sent out to the 250+ "ping" sites that I have loaded into Wordpress, right?

So, am I done? I mean, as far as RSS goes? If my posts are being "pinged" does that mean that I am "sending out an RSS feed?" Or, is there more to be done to have my "RSS Feed" sent to whereever it's supposed to be sent to so that I can get more traffic?

    No... pinging and RSS are not the same.

    People must subscribe to your RSS feeds.

    No, RSS is like a news feed, giving you new update info on your favorite site. Ping tests network communications.

      For the site in your sig, your RSS Feed URL is eBaySellersResource.com

      You can add an RSS graphic to your page somewhere that's linked to that URL, and let subscribers manage their own readers - Google Reader, Flock, whatever. All you have to do is provide the link.

    click on it to receive the feed.
