ADMIN: Please increase the "Thanks" limit!

Not sure if this is where I should post this, and I know it has been addressed before, but I can't find where.

Can you please increase the number of "Thanks" you can give before the button goes away? I have been a bad girl and thanked too many people today already - and it's only 12:19 am. I have to wait until tomorrow to thank people again.

    I'm not sure I agree with this. I think 'thanks' are used way too lightly and the limit is good.

      Thanks are another way to add credibility to forum members whom regularly contribute excellent information.

      But yes, the feature can and often is abused in the name of promotion, so a limit is probably wise.

    I like the idea for people who don't really have a whole lot to ad in a comment but appreciate the OP's post. So, they don't have to just write a one-liner thank you and can use the button instead. I think it is a great feature if people use it that way.

    Wow I didn't even notice that button until now.

    I see both sides but I lean more towards there being a limit (What is it anyway?). Mainly because I do believe this is an excellent way to reward the people who share truly valuable information.

    A limit on "thanks" will allow those who make regular contributions to truly stand out from the crowd, and rightfully so.

    Well this is just one more opinion to add to the mix.

      Okay. I can understand there being a limit (No, I can't. That's a lie, but we'll move on....), but does it have to be so LOW??? :confused::confused::confused:

      Surely I can't wreak too much havok with a limit of 25 or 30 Thanks in a day, can I?

      I can't have such a low limit! Not with the priceless pearls of wisdom being presented on this board each and every day from the incredible members here....:rolleyes:
