Did you get your cup of the Google Buzz yet?. If so how do you like it?.

And for those who haven't gotten it yet then you soon will as this is not another CB product but once again Google adds a Twitter-Like social app to their gMail system.

I like but too soon to tell where it goes from here.

it looks like a good tool but my profile was blocked so I can't use the function yet. Sometimes I think Google is a little bit stupid about the profile I posted there...

I started checking it out yesterday. I like it so far. It's has less distractions than Facebook has, and so far isn't as restrictive as twitter is. Plus, it exists right inside my inbox so no need to open another tab or browser and no extra login steps required.

I am waiting to see the skins and tatoos that personalize our Buzz pages, like you can do with Twitter.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

I've been working around the clock on a
product and haven't seen it as of yet.

I'll check it out in a couple of days.

I'll come back to this thread and at least
see what you guys are thinking about
      it then.

      Gmail doesn't give you control?

I use Gmail and it's productivity apps
a lot. It's filter and label system works
      great for me.

Anyway, I have no interest in Google Buzz. I
see it as a distraction. And I had it turned
      off already.

I think we should look at it for what it is - an attempt by Google to gain more market share.

The truth is, it doesn't really add anything that we don't already have. Just more things to add on the plate and distract us from real money-making activities.

Could one take the opportunity to use Google Buzz as a marketing tool? Possibly. But would the time spent on it justify the ROI (money, time, labor or otherwise)?

It got off on the wrong foot with me I'm afraid.

I might have been interested in using it but the first thing it did was have me automatically follow everyone with a gmail account that I ever exchanged messages with.

This includes people that I haven't spoken with in years and no longer have any kind of contact with.

I assume several people are already following me whether they asked to or not either. I'm not planning on "Buzzing" to every single person I've ever spoken to. Nor am I interested in hearing "buzz" from a person I had a passing conversation with in 2006.

If it had let me decide for myself who I wanted to follow, and had let people choose if they wanted to follow me, it might be different. But instead, shutting it off is my next step.

    BuzzBOMB!

P.S. I usually don't grumble, but in this case, bah humbug.

Google Buzz adds a few interesting twists that make it different enough from Facebook and Twitter to attract attention. We have to wait and see how Google Buzz is going to perform in comparison with them.

I'm a chatty dude, so I tend to enjoy it. However I do think the email alerts for every buzz is annoying.

I tend to try things out for a few hours before making concrete judgments about them. I'll play around with it for a while.

I just deleted all my contacts and my profile so I don't have to worry about Google's invasion of privacy. I do not want to be auto-followed or to auto-follow people and have my contacts spam me with their buzzes.

Good for you Suzanne ... It is a step in the right direction...

It's a shame google tries to force things upon webmasters, I personally think at some point that will be their downfall....
