Google Images problem

Hi

Does anyone know if its possible to get my site removed from google images?

Over the past 3 days I have received 593 uniques from google images, the down side to this is that it is not very targeted and therefore I doubt it will make any sales LOL

I do still want my site in google just not any of my images showing in google images

Thank you

Most likely someone is 'hot-linking' to your image for whatever reason.

That means the image shows up on their website, or a website or forum they have used the image on.

If you can handle the bandwith you should not have a problem. But if you want to curtail the problem, rename the image and change the code on your website to reflect the new name.

Anytime you give your images a keyword title you have the chance Google will show it in their keyword related searches.

      Or, do what Amy suggested...

Would a hotlink show Google images as the referrer?

That's a good question, and I think I may have twisted the answer wrongly.

So if Google is being shown as the referrer than most likely the image has a keyword title that keeps bringing it up in the serps. So Google is pulling that image for every search off the OPs server.

Fwiw, there's a Warrior here who hot-links to an image on my site for her blog and when I check my stats I can see how much traffic she gets to her blog by how many times the image is displayed from my server to her visitors with her blog as the referrer.

Something to think about when you go hot-linking...

            Thank you both

Bandwidth is not really a problem, suppose if it continues selling the site might be easier
