Where did you get your offline marketing skills?

I've read that some people here are really successful at offline marketing. Having no prior knowledge of marketing, where would you advise me to go to get the needed theoretical background? (besides googling marketing 101)

    people can have more theory than books in a library, pity they could not sell a dime. Forget theory get a some work in the practice side of things and develop your skills that way.

    learn at forum is great way. we can share our knowledge and experience.. and could be different with others member.

    we can take some point of it. and the thing you should do is take action! read many ebook make me learn but we didn't take action.
    Take your action, review it..focus it what we have done.. review it again.. that's mine..

    for some ideas. Then spend as much time as possible
    every day putting those ideas into action. You will
    learn the most by doing then by reading.
