Marketing With Google Buzz?

I know people have come up with all sorts of crazy marketing strategies for sites like Twitter and Facebook. Has there been any good strategies to come from Googles New Social Network, Google Buzz? Has anyone tried getting massive amounts of followers by following large numbers of users in given niches?

Just curious. I have seen very few posts about Marketing with Buzz since its launch. There is a folder at the Buzz Forum at: Buzz Marketing Discussion but nothign too great has been discussed.

    That's an interesting proposition. I bet as Google expands that site and sees their traffic increase they're going to expand it and offer us many more opportunities. By offering chances to their advertisers to pay money, they generate chances for us to market it. Exciting for sure.

    Wait till the API for Buzz comes out. We wil likely see all sorts of new sites built around Buzz emerge. Look at Twitter and all the hundreds of sites built around it.

    I got rid of my Google profile and Buzz so that people can't spam me with it. A lot of other people will also dump it fast as soon as all the "marketers" start hitting them with their spam.

    But if Google took the time to invest into it, who's to say they won't find a way to stop us from doing that? They ARE Google.

      Buzz autofollows all of your contacts and then all of your contacts can then see conversations with all your other contacts on Buzz. I don't want to auto-follow anyone or be auto-followed by anyone and I didn't opt in to have Google Buzz mess with my email service. Simplest way to get rid of it is to delete your Google profile. I deleted my profile and my contacts and then opted out of Buzz. Now I can enjoy my email the way I intended my email to be ... with no Buzz or additional spam.
