Free traffic to your site/offer
When I started online to make money i didn't know where to start due to information overload from buying new products every new and then. I even ended up with a largest collection of PLR articles, ebook, tools, softwares etc. Then one day I decided why not package this and sell online.
Like everyone I created a website, wrote a sales letter but then there was something that was not right. I was cornered to a point where I did not know how to generate traffic. I am sure most of us are in or was in the same boat as me.
Started my pursuit to learn how to generate traffic and in the pursuit I did realize there are two types of traffic.
• Paid Traffic
• Free Traffic
For the benefit of everyone especially newbies I want to share briefly some of the ways you can generate free traffic.
Syndication Marketing
In this method you write a content/article or if you not good at copywriting you can buy PLR article packs and rewrite them to make it look unique to google and start posting on your website or submit to article directories. You can even do guest blogging and direct you reference link to your site.
Video Marketing
Create videos and post it on video sharing sites like YouTube and 28 other video sharing site and in the description to your profile add your URL. I would recommend adding links of your URL to the beginning and end of the video. If you are camera shy you can even create video by just using powerpoint slides and use windows media center to create a video its as simple as that.
Social Network Marketing
Just as there's hundreds of blog or article directories willing to display your articles on their sites... There's tons of Web 2.0 sites you can put your content on.
But... what is a web 2.0 site, you ask?
"A Web 2.0 site allows its users to interact with other users or to alter website content, in contrast to non-interactive web-sites where users are limited to the passive viewing of information that is provided to them."
I am talking about sites like Squidoo, Hubpages, tumblr, Blogger and lots of, lots of others who let me put my content and links up on their sites to drive traffic back to your site.
Conversation Marketing
With the power of forums and blogs you create a link back to your site. Try building trust with your niche community by being an active participant in the Forum. Use your signature link wisely to promote your offering, deliver valuable information. Infact, right now I am doing is a Conversation Marketing. Tap in to conversations happening on blogs in your market. Post comment, by appreciating someone or asking valuable questions related to the article posted by the author and have your URL on your profile.
Buzz Marketing
Buzz Marketing is about generating publicity and creating excitement and interest about your site or offer on social sites like Twitter or Facebook. It lets people talk about your offer.
Viral Marketing
Viral marketing is an attempt to deliver a marketing message that spreads quickly and exponentially among people. you can create softwares or videos that spread virally through emails or social network that has some way of embedding your site or offer into the viral content.
Piggyback Marketing
Piggyback marketing happens when one business or person distributes the product or service of another business or person. You can do a list swap and send your offers to others list. Offer your product as a bonus with others product.
These are some of the methods I learnt from a recent product and I am implementing. This is generating me exponential traffic in the last 2 days.
