I've got a list, and i've been trying to focus on maintaining it for a while, which basically means sending them good nuggets of information, without trying to sell anything.

The point ? Keep them subscribed !

I'd like to know what the others do to maintain their lists here. Share if you can !

Exactly what your doing pretty cut and dry. And do not market them too many offers. I only like to send 1 a week, at the most 2. Freebies are the way to go to keep them happy and subscribed!

      Yeah, that's a good tip.

I've never sent out more than 1 offer per week though. And those too I try to screen to the best of my ability, so that I only send out the best of the offers out there.

A lot of people use your strategy, except when they send them to the free info page like a video, there's at least a link to an offer underneath.

Yep.. and i think the whole point is to keep their needs fulfilled by actually sending out good bits of knowledge every now and then. It keeps them from thinking that you're just using them to make money, and are actually giving them something in return too

I think there are a few different profitable approaches.

I send out pitches at about 6 to 1.

To tell you the truth, I normally get more unsubscribes from sending free information. Kinda weird.

Just be yourself and promote things that you would actually buy yourself. You want a list of people who are interested in the same thing as you, so that when you are able to recommend a product they will actually buy it.

If you keep on sending people to free sites they will immmediately get worked up when you promote a paid product as that's not they expect from you.

Position yourself as an opinion leader and be unique in the way you do things for the best results. If you follow the herd then you'll get average results at best...
