the internet is full of scammers. can't trust anyone. no one tells you excatly how to complete ALL the technical steps and skill steps you need.
LOL, Ok, this list gets a video showing exactly how I do something. Do I need to show them how to make a link?

Do I send a nice email to this person?

All my AR's say hit the reply button to ask me direct questions.

On the flip side, look at this message I just got:

Aloha Jill
Thank You very much. You do not know how much your report
will help me this morning.
Have a business meeting and your report will make me look good.

Just as you I want to help others not spend so much
money as I have on learning the ropes.
Thanks again and have a Blessed Day.
This particular report will have you running around in circles actually. lol
I mean, it does cover a lot but nothing in step by step detail.

Do people even know what they really want?

    Jill,

Sad to say, but some will not get it if you were to fly out to their home and sit down face to face. I think you do the best you can and go with it.

    You can't please everyone.

    Thanks,

    John

What really amuses me is that I'm making someone else look good.

I have to wonder if they are memorizing my report, or using my anecdote -

I compare internet marketing to making a pie.

Just funny how conflicting things like these come on the same week.

She's the same kind of person who would get mad if you told her how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and didn't mention that she would also need two slices of bread to make it.

Hey Jill, you scammed me. I thought I just needed peanut butter and jelly!

Ah, just move on. Don't loose any sleep over it. --Mike

This post just made my day :p

I think some people are so focused on that "pot of gold" of Internet Marketing - ya know, the holy grail that'll funnel $1,000,000 instantly into their Paypal account the second they buy it - that they wouldn't know how to make money online if someone waved a blueprint in their face. Product, sales copy, traffic... takes many different forms I'll give you that, but the unsexy, BORING fundamentals are tried-and-true.

We need a few people like this in our life so that we can truly appreciate the ones that thank you for what you provide or do for them. Keep up the good work.

    Jill,

Let's face it... there two kinds of people in this world.

The type that makes something of themselves...

...and the type that blame everyone else.

It's funny out of 1,000 new opt ins on a new product launch I had one email come in that was just totally lame. Seems like theres a 1% of opt ins that just have something stupid to say. Just like the 2% -5% that actually take action on what you just taught them.

Hey Jill, I guarantee you we've all got people like that on our lists. I've had plenty of screwy emails from subscribers over the years. The best thing you can do about it is send me ten bucks and pretend your list is germ free.

I have had emails like yours. One person angry and resentful and one person happy and grateful in my Japanese language niche.

I think it tells you/us how important mindset is. I never reply or take it personally. I try to wish these angry people well, but sometime it isn't easy.

Obviously YES. Sometimes we forget what it was like when we first started using the internet. I remember thinking "how do people make a word in my email turn blue and when I click, it goes to a web site. I mean I knew how to send an email with a full URL in it, but how do you make just any word or words become that URL?"
Seems very simple now, but it wasn't at one point.

You could and ask them what steps they are having trouble with.

Sometime they don't, because they don't know what they need. They may have an idea of the end result they'd like but they have no way of knowing how to get there.
If your course is aimed at complete newbies it's probably safe to say you should assume they know nothing.
