Hi all,

Ok, so after following the footsteps of the guru's here, on 3/24/10, I got off my a$$, researched my keywords with MNF and Google, bought a domain, made the website, and started writing articles.

This is what I did in 21 days (and most of the time was spent on learning wordpress and creating the site)

Submitted a site map to google

Wrote 6 articles and submitted them to 8 article directories. I just changed the titles and anchor links to be different. The body of the articles stayed the same. I submitted the first 4 after I created the articles and then 1 each week to all those directories.

Went to digg.com and added my site
Went to connotea.org and added my siteWent to blinklist, reddit, and technorati and added my site

Bookmarked my site at google bookmarks, posted my website on my facebook wall.

1-2 times a week I pinged my site with pingler and ping o matic

I'm also starting to add the articles I submitted to the article directories on my website, changing them a little. Not sure if this will help, but it can't hurt.

My wordpress website was indexed by google the day I put it up, unlike my blog at blogger, which took 2 weeks, not sure why???

My site hovered on page 8 when I googled my keywords, then to page 7, 6 and yesterday and today I am on page 1, but the last website. This morning it was last, now I checked and it's 3rd from last. So positions can change throughout the day.

Not sure what propelled my website from page 6 to 1, but the date my site was cached by google never changed even though I went from page 6 to 1.

I'm excited that I'm on page 1 and yesterday I made a whopping .20 with adsense. I know it's nothing to take home, but I just thought I'd post my progress so that anyone thinking about doing this can see that what's posted on this forum does work....And it will be that much easier if you find a niche that get lots of traffic and no competition....that in my opinion is the toughest part, finding keywords..

Its only going to get easier from here... Well, atleast we hope so, right?

There has been a lot of Google dancing lately that it's driving me crazy... But, the dancing that Google has done, has turned out to be pretty beneficial for me and it looks like it has done the same for you.

Anyway, Congrats on getting off your ace and making that first step. Like George said above, "That's the hardest step."

Keep up the work... Success takes time, but it will come with a lot of hard work and persistence. Good thing is that you have read, learn, participated and taken action. Here at WF the only thing we can do is teach you options to try to make it, YOU have to take action, implement and combine all that you have learned to make it happen for you.

Congratulations and keep up all the work. Persistence, consistency, and PATIENCE... Soon enough you will see bigger earnings than 20 cents...

Thanks for the encouragement guys....Yes it is hard work and I keep forgetting I'm in it for the long haul. Fortunately, every time I was down due to lack of progress something always happened to put me back on track.

I'm always doing something to promote my websites, small or big I try to keep going. I also take breaks now and then because this type internet marketing can consume you and become very frustrating at times...
