Finding Affiliates...Where Do I Begin?

I have a membership website and several books on Amazon. I would love to find affilliates to sell my products for commission.

But...

I DO NOT like Clickbank, at all!

Does anyone have any suggestions for me as to where I should begin?

Please and thank you.

First, you will need an affiliate program that affiliates can sign up for. You can create one or use a third party affiliate system (recommended, as they have affiliates already in place).

Next, you will need to have somebody list your program in every affiliate directory known to man.

Let us know when you have finished those two things.

I know its not the best or most creative answer, but...
Use your Sig. and offer massive commissions.

    Hey teach,

I like your site. Nice tutorials.

I think the most important thing about getting affiliates is, it needs to be obvious to the visitor that you offer an affiliate program!

I looked on your links at the bottom of the page and couldn't find anything. There needs to be a system set up that captures affiliates...

    1) "Affiliates" page- Describing what you offer for selling your product.
    2) Set up a system that allows people to sign up, and allows you to keep track of who sells, etc... (third party software like iDev Affiliate, or aMember might be good since you have a membership site, or...sign up for share-a-sale, google affiliate network, etc....)
    3) Maybe set up aWeber so you can capture people's information who sign up as an affiliate so you can contact them via email updates/sales etc...
    4) Offer graphics to people on the "Affiliates" page that they can use on their site (banner ads, product graphics, etc)

You just have to set up the Affiliates page and the system (since you don't want to use Click Bank), then affiliates will come. It looks like your product is pretty good. A lot of people would probably be interested in selling it.

      Sorry...more to add...

Also (as soon as you get your affiliate program "system" in place) it pays to email everyone that has a website that you think your product should be promoted on.

I have a "learn to play guitar" product, I emailed everyone in the niche and got a couple people to promote it. One of them now accounts for the majority of my sales.

    Thanks everyone.

    JRCarson,

I will find some tracking software and set up an affiliate page. This process sounds better than clickbank etc.. because I can keep control of my business. The only problem though, seems finding affiliates. That is, affiliates who use clickbank etc, can simply search the clickbank site. If I do this on my own, I have to go out and find my own affiliates.

    Thanks everyone.

Yeah you definitely have to go and find some affiliates, but when the page and system is set up, they will just find you also. Like Brian was saying, you can list your product in directories as well.

Again, you've got a good product. I think you can have faith that a lot of people would want to sell it, you just have to give them the opportunity.
