The embedded video runs off their servers so it shouldn't slow it down too much.

I have run movie websites for a year and what you need to focus on is seo and youtube marketing.

    Just some tips

they are called API or Scrapers. Unless you know a lot about programming you probably won't know what to do with them. If you do, then you probably know where to search for them anyway.

Oh are you talking about video blogs? There are some plugins that can automatically post videos.

A better method is to make niche movie sites. Like, watchsexinthecity2online.org - But with this method SEO is key

If you plan on hosting your videos you are going to run into alot of DMCA notices from the movie producers.

Hosting companies will end up asking you to leave.

I used to have an online movie site that was the "Old Classic" genre. I used public domain so it was not a problem. I wound up flipping it. We did not have a problem with the site slowing down as we hosted the movies off site.

I'd suggest you upload images to your own hosting account, don't bother direct linking, most websites (IMDB etc) have filters to prevent you from doing this anyway, plus it'll probably load faster from your server, youtube videos won't make your website load slower, but it may cause the users internet connection to slow down, causing other webpages, possibly yours to slow down while the youtube video is playing.
