Yes.

Very respectable network...

Brian Littleton (founder) received the "AFP Fair Practice Award" and in January 2007 the "Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Award" for "Affiliate Marketing Advocate" at the Affiliate Summit West 2007 industry tradeshow/expo.

I've been very happy with them, and never had to worry about anything.

I've also had very good experience with ShareASale. They have good merchants, are easy to use, and I've never had any problems with payments.

Shareasale is quickly turning into the first place I look when I want new affiliate programs to promote. Solid range of products and niches, and I've already found a few good sellers. No complaints so far from me.

There seem to be some good merchants there on shareasale. I think it is more user friendly network than CJ. If you are looking to promote physical products, better take a look there first before even amazon.

I tend to agree with the first reply. If traffic/SEO is your goal then they are working.

Though in reality I tend to skip off anything that isn't well written or doesn't stand up on its own in terms of content. However, having said that we have to accept that clearly non-native English speakers are forced to use English due to the nature of the Internet - so should give minor grammatical errors and the like a chance.

When I used to promote stuff from Shareasale (don't anymore) I made some
really good money. They have some great high end products that actually
do what they're supposed to do. One of the things I used to promote (sort
of middle end) was a group mailer. I stopped promoting it because of all
the problems with spam and realized a lot of people were abusing the
software. Because of that, in good conscience, I couldn't promote it
anymore...not that there is anything wrong with the software.

Shareasale does have one of the highest payment thresholds by default
($50) that I have found. But if you're any kind of a decent affiliate marketer
you should have no trouble getting monthly checks.

Ironically, when I stopped promoting their stuff, I had $39.98 in my account
and it's still sitting there like 4 years later. I may one day decide to promote
something just so I can get my last check.

Just don't have the time to go looking for anything worth while, though
Amember is a viable option, something I used to use until I got DLGuard.

The one thing with Shareasale is that, at least in my experience, you
have to be approved by each merchant to sell their product. This may
explain part of the reason why Shareasale is such a good affiliate
marketplace.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents on the subject.

Jay, the reason I stopped using Amember is twofold.

1. Their support tends to be extremely slow at times. At least that has
been my experience. There were days that I'd put in a support ticket
and didn't get a response for 3 days.

2. The software is a major bullseye for hackers, so you really have to
keep up with the updates. The problem with updates, unlike something
like WordPress where you actually see there is a new update when you
log in, is that the only way you find out if there is a new one is if you
go checking yourself. This lends itself to forgetfulness and ultimately
getting hacked...which is what happened to me. The resulting problems
were massive.

Thus...I tore down the site and went with DLGuard, even though its
interface for membership sites is nowhere near as nice and leaves you
with a lot more design on your hands.

Amember, in itself, is a great piece of software, but it needs to be
watched closely. I just don't have the time or the memory to do that.

So that's why I abandoned Amember and went elsewhere.

SAS has a solid group of merchants. I prefer them to Linkshare or CJ.

Not all merchants require preapproval. You can see in the merchant information detail whether or not they require preapproval. There are many that are auto approve.

A lot of the merchants offer bonuses that can pay out quite nicely, as well. If there's a bonus, take an offer and run with it. I made $30 just for putting up an ad campaign during a bonus weekend. Yes - that's it, no sale required. I only had to let the AM know where the ad was placed during the bonus period.

I like shareasale a lot and they do have some great merchants.

What I really like is that a lot of the merchants autoapprove, so if you don't have the patience to wait for an approval from a merchant, you can easily scan the list over there and see who automatically approves publishers to get your immediate gratification.
