First page on Google for 3 years - then gone for 2 days - then back?

This is very strange.

My site has been on the first page of the keyword results for my main keyword since May 2007.

A couple of days ago it just disappeared. It was gone for two days. My traffic dropped drastically. Then yesterday it is back.

I did make change to the page, but I have done that dozens of times before with no ramifications.

Has anyone had this happen? And more importantly, does anyone know why? This really had me going for a couple of days. lol.

    To understand human psychology is much easier than undertanding why and what of Google. Its collective intelligence of world's smartest brains. We only waste time by wondering why things like this happen. And worst of all even if we think hard and come up with a solution, it is going to change tomorrow
