This thread comes at a perfect time! I just hosted my first Conference Call and I am in the process of transcribing an hour call... MYSELF! i figure I should at least do it once in order to appreciate what goes into do this. I do not think I will transcribe anything again!

I will say that listening to the play back in such detail really causes me to analyze my speech patterns, phrases, and helps me discover how much I start my spoken sentences with the work, 'So...'

I recommend you transcribe your first work to hear what you are saying!

    Be Well.

I totally agree with you here! I made a product where I did a series of 10 interviews, and transcribing some of them really helped me with both speaking and interviewing. Now I'm much better I think, I'm much more fluid and conversational, which equates to a better call in my experience.

My calls were all around an hour too, so I totally feel your pain lol.

@DesmondTan: I'm not sure about the other services listed here, but I outsourced my transcriptions to oDesk and had a very positive experience. Going that route though, just make sure you thoroughly interview the person you're going to hire, and make sure to get them on the phone (or Skype) if you can so you hear how they speak. I say this because most applicants are from the Philippines and some have very poor English.

Or you could just look for someone on the WF here. There's some great talent here, and most people on the boards here will do an exceptional job since their credibility is on the line.

        Hope that helps,
        -Tom
