Rules Concerning Content on Educational Sites

Does anyone know if I can use an article published by a student on an educational site for part of a giveaway if I acknowledge name and full article? It must have been an essay turned in for class credit but it has good content for the subject of my giveaway. It would be part of a "report" with other content.

Is that okay or do I need written permission from the student?

Thanks for any help

You would need permission, unless the website states otherwise. Student or no, whoever writes it retains copyright unless otherwise stipulated.

That's what I thought. Thank you both, TMG Enterprises and Alexa!
