Depends on exactly what you want to do with it. I often use Article Video Robot, which is a subscription based program. You can take an article that you've written and turn it to a talking video with one click. Now these videos are not of the quality that you will win an Oscar for best film, but you can syndicate them to 17 video directories with a single click.

If you think you might be interested, PM me and I can get you a coupon code discount.

I agree Article Video Robot is an excellent way to convert your articles into videos. It gives you a voice over facility and graphics, plus free directory submission.

  • You might want to try Windows Movie Maker or Animoto.

They are both very easy and churn out great videos as well.

      Hello.

What do you think about Corel's VideoStudio Pro X3? Is it worth the money for what it can do with customization?

      Thanks.

I have to edit a video and save it in windows meta video(wmv) format, and apparently my windows movie maker can only save it as a windows movie maker project. Suggest some free and legal video editting/making software if possible, thanks

It sounds like you are doing "Save" or "Save Project", and not "Save Movie File". Take another look, you should have a very straight forward way to save to a WMV.

Maybe create some slides with Animoto, then record your tutorial with Camtasia and then merge the two together - this way you'll have the best of both

Depends on your budget but Sony Vegas Studio is IMO the supreme video editing software and completely dominates all others with functionality and ease of use.

All the plug-ins, text effects, media-generators and transition features are awesome. Use Camtasia to do your captures/teaching and spice it all up with your own creativity using Sony Vegas and you can't fail at producing the best videos ever.

Look for some of the previous versions for reduced prices, like Vegas 8.

CamStudio is a good (free) alterative to Camtasia. Windows MovieMaker is the best free editing program I know of.

I've been using Serif MoviePlus for many years, and have been very happy with the results. The latest version looks (and costs) remarkably similar to Corel Video StudioPro X3. In noticed Corel is offering a 30 day free trial of their software, so you might try downloading that to edit your video.

I don't know about Animoto but I am sure that Article Video Robot is not as rich in features as Camtasia Studio is. The only added feature of Article Video Robot is that it can convert articles to voice and voice can be your chose male or female.
