Wordpress 2.6.3 Bug?!

Hi Warriors,

I'm currently using WP 2.6.3 and each time I save a new content page and make a new revision to it, it adds the following code:

"<textarea id="content" cols="40" rows="10" name="content">"

and as a result, screws up with the HTML output.

This did not happen previously with WP 2.6.2.

Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

Any suggestions?

Did you have a weird plug-in installed?

Try to disable all plug-ins and try again.

I've made pretty heavy use of 2.6.3 and haven't seen this at all. As Sepree said its probably a plugin issue.

I´m quite happy with Wordpress 2.6.There are new updates coming out all the time so is it really necessary to have the newest version? There is a risk of bugs and your plugins may not work after the update and it causes problems.

I would not worry about running to update everytime they release a update... I would only bother with it ifthey have some newcool features you like.. Other than that I would secure my wordpress blog.

Wordpress point releases (the x in 2.6.x) are generally done to fix known security problems. Eg in 2.6.1 someone could gain admin access to your account if you had registrations turned on and 2.6.2 fixed that.

Unless you have a compelling reason not to its almost always a good idea to keep stuff like this as up-to-date as possible.
