I have written four E Books, how would you market them?

Over the past 5 years I have written 4 books

One called seven easy ways to make money online

One on motivation

One on time management

One on weight loss

I have been making sales affiliate marketing and on ebay and voice broadcasting but I was wondering how you would market your own products if you had them on these topics? What are the differences between marketing a affiliate product and your own product?

Not too long ago, I used a site called Fiverr way differently than many people are probably accustomed to using it. Rather than just offer one service or product, for $5, I created a bit of a sales funnel, requiring customers to pay $5 for the first book, only to have the option to pay $5 for the second book, and if they liked that, they went on and purchased the 3rd book for $5....and, so on, up to 6 books....

It was a bit complex in execution, but, essentially, Fiverr's interface inherently allowed me, over a sales process of occasional $5, to form a bit of a relationship with customers, WHILE establishing a significant amount of social proof in the value of the product. After each purchase, in order to make the next, one would have to actually leave a comment....what occurred was: I had individual people leaving upwards of 5-6 comments a piece.

Unfortunately, execution of this would warrant a bit more explanation. For the sake of this post, perhaps you could throw all these books into something like an "Ultimate Life Enhancement/Improvement" series, use Fiverr to set up a system where the first book is delivered for $5, then the second, then the third, etc.....?

    Thoughts?

Thanks for sharing that. Does fiver allows you to sell an ebook? I thought you can just sell your services for $5.

Everything I've done falls well within their Terms of service.

"Services that are offered by sellers on Fiverr are called "Gigs"."

In this case, I considered 'delivery of my eBook' the 'service', just as much as someone who says they'll "shave their armpits for $5" or "Not shower for 3 days" consider their Fiverrs "services"....

If you have any question/concerns, you can contact them, however, I did $60+ in sales, in a very short period of time, and had absolutely no problem.

        lol...sure, Dave....

There are a few things I didn't mention though....

Fiverr does inherently make it a bit 'tricky' to pull this off, however, because, it needs to be made VERY clear to any customers just exactly how the fiverr will progress.

It's really hard to speak about this without referencing my own course/books, but, essentially, I set up a process where, if someone purchased the first book....I would send BOTH the book, as a .PDF, as well as, a second .PDF document that said.... (Use this as a template, add/subtract from it....)

" Included in this Fiverr Gig is the first book of our ___________ (place whatever the name of your course/book series, etc), which has sold many copies Worldwide at prices as high as $97.

Upon your request and purchase through Fiverr, we will be more than happy to send you our next book in our __________ (Course, system, package, etc) in accordance with our details in our Gig."
...........on top of that, we would send THESE, so that we wouldn't have to rewrite each time someone ordered....

When someone BUYS our Fiverr….this is the first email we send…..Even though we send the 2nd email 2nd, because of how it is delivered in their mailbox, we specify that they should read it FIRST.....attached to THAT email, you would attach the .PDF I had mentioned above.....

“Thank you for the order of our Fiverr! Our Fiverr is unique to what you are probably accustomed to seeing, and, that will be explained in the document we attach to our next email to you immediately following this one.
It will be very important to read the document attached to our next email.
        Take care,
        Jason + Howie”

        SECOND EMAIL WE SEND:
Congratulations on Your Fiverr Order! (Extra Attached Document - READ FIRST)
        “Hello,
Attached is a document that will explain our Fiverr Gig in more detail. It is our hope that you will enjoy, and benefit from, our course.
        Take care,
        Howie + Jason”

        Dave (or anyone)...

What would be the best way to get a .PDF into your hands?...

My blog isn't exactly up and running yet, but, shoot me an email via my Contact form (I won't add you to an email list or anything like that), and I'll send you over the generic .PDF that I use. It's like 5-10 pages (something like that), and you can use it as a bit of a generic template for whatever you hope to do with Fiverr....

Of course, the writing is specialized to my own project/course, on Fiverr, but it'll give you a general idea of how I effectively conveyed the structure and progression of my Fiverr....

There were SOME hurdles inherent to Fiverr, that I learned through experience, that I addressed accordingly in this document. Confusion can arise, for the buyer, when you progress from selling one product, to a different one, because the actual name of the Fiverr doesn't change...it's a little confusing....but, I explain it better in that document....

            Sent it on over, Dave....

For all the exploring I've done on Fiverr, quite honestly, I was shocked to see that people haven't devised methods to use it in this manner....

I only ran one Fiverr like this, and, it pulled in quite a bit in just one day. I know people may not like the idea of selling a book for $5, but, if you really trust and believe in a product/course, and believe that people will go through your entire process, if you sell 6 things, that's a sales funnel worth $30...BUT....the relationship you foster, and the social proof developed at the conclusion of each purchase, is priceless....in fact, I took a bit of a "loss" on fiverr, as compared to what I ordinarily sell my course for, however, that was strictly in monetary terms....

The social proof and relationship gained were well worth any 'loss' I took...

Have you gotten to read over it yet, Dave? Thoughts?

That's a wonderful idea, where's your fiver website? I'd love to have a look. I was thinking of marketing all of them at my next seminar for a bundle price like you said a ultimate life enhancement book series. Thank you so much for the suggestion to call it a ultimate life enhancement series. It's got me thinking differently

I actually permanently 'suspended' my fiverr because I was ultimately only looking for a few purchases just to 1) Test it out and 2) Create a high level of internal social proof, from comments.

For awhile, I used it as a bit of an 'alternate' form of payment to those who may be price sensitive. Using Fiverr incurred some great benefits to those buys who didn't want to pay out the total purchase price immediately, but, over all my books, and bonuses, the price ultimately ended being similar, just in $5 payments, over a longer time. You REALLY have to believe in your product, and KNOW that people will like it, in order for this to work, though, because it can break down if someone purchases your first book, then decides not to purchase the remainder....

It may require some planning, to link all the products together, with a general theme, where they almost 'feel' like they HAVE to get all of them....

You always have the option of publishing them through Createspace. It would allow you to tap into Amazon's user base, but you might have some stiff competition. There is always Tradebit.com to sell your ebooks.
