Okay, I read somewhere in this forum that the Google keyword tool is not really good in finding keywords enjoying high searches in the SEs. A lot of people said its only good for picking out keywords for your Adwords campaign.

This, after reading also somewhere in this forum weeks ago that the Google keyword tool is the best tool to use when you're looking for highly-searched keywords for your article marketing efforts.

So, what's the best keyword tool around that is free to use? I'm a bit confused right now and I really need some good, solid guidance.

Thanks!

i heard google's kw tool is the one of the worst tools you can use - since the #'s are way off. but if you're using adwords or ppc then they should be pretty accurate~

I'm a starter, but I am willing to try everything I can to be a successful internet marketer and chase my dreams. If you can answer any of my questions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

This is my favorite wordtracker.com - Do the free trial and check out the daily videos that are sent to you for the week of the trial. It really goes over exactly how to use all parts of the tool.

Bottom line ------- Word Tracker is way better then Google keyword external

Has anyone here had the opportunity of using Micro Niche Finder? Can you share any feedback about this tool?

I use Micro Niche Finder every day. Frankly I don't think you can beat it. The latest updates have been awesome.

I do article writing for myself and my customers. Quite a few of the long tail keywords found by MNF have enabled me and my customers to draw free traffic that converts. Many of us have all seen an increase in our AdSense income and affiliate sales.

It's a good solid tool for helping you to identify niches which have good searches and low competition.

Once you have spent a little time using it you begin to see more and more potential to use it.

I know one thing I wish I could put my affiliate link here for it but I can't.

BTW James Jones gives good customer support.

I checked out recently a software called goldencashcompass, it uses Google´s keyword tool and searches a database to see the keywords most likely used by people who make a purchase.

Anyone know why the numbers are so different? Even when using "exact" match the Google keyword tool numbers are 10x higher than other keyword tools.

Exactly why I'm confused. And there are conflicting claims I see all over the internet as to which tool is best or what has worked for a particular person.

Too much for a newbie like me to handle. That's why I'm seeking guidance from fellow Warriors. But looks like not one keyword selection tool enjoys the most popularity.

Everybody seems to have their own preferred tool.

None of the keyword tools out there are 100% accurate.

Google's keyword tool is a great tool but, it only measures Adwords traffic. Also, you only get traffic estimates from one search engine-Google.

To enhance the effectiveness of your keyword research, test out another keyword tool and compare it to Google's tool.

This will give you a better idea of the amount of traffic a specific keyword gets.

        Keyword tools

Wordtracker: I don't care for Wordtracker. It's not as user friendly as I'd like. However, It's been around a while and many marketers have grown accustomed to using it.

Wordze: This is my favorite keyword tool. It's very user friendly, simple to understand, and it's easy on the eyes.

Market Samurai: I just bought this one since they don't have a reoccurring membership fee and I really like it.

        Food for thought:
I'm not sure if you focus at all on SEO but, you should. And as much as I hate putting thought into SEO, I have to admit that it is the way to go.

What I'm getting at is this...

It's in your best interest to try other keyword research tools that aren't limited to just Adwords, in addition to Google's keyword research tool.

This is important because Yahoo and MSN have organic searches just like Google that you will want to get ranked in.

Always remember this: traffic is traffic. And traffic that converts to sales is better traffic. I run campaigns that have better conversion results in Yahoo's organic search in comparison to Google... It works the same with PPC.

So if you do decide to purchase a keyword research tool, get one that measures PPC and organic traffic in MSN, Yahoo, and Google.
