Actually if you look at the right hand side of the page under "Tops
in all topics," the leading story right now has 3010 diggs. But we

This won't make it to the front page if people click on the link in the first post.

Digg has checks in place that include checking the referring site. If it sees all Digg originating from the WF, it will silently penalize it's ranking.

Best bet is to cut and paste the digg link into the browser.
