Is Time Management The Real Issue Here?

How many hours a day should you work on you online business to see results?

The answer to this question may vary from one person to the next, however, this might shock you, but exactly how many hours you spend is not THE most important thing for the progress of your online business and your success.

The most important question is, how many hours are you willing to commit, and I mean really commit. This is the question you should ask yourself.

Many online affiliate marketers or internet marketers find it difficult to drag themselves in front of that computer and take action. Some people feel comfortable writing draft after draft instead of just going ahead and submitting those articles. Some of them feel that they still have to learn and analyze some more before they take that first step.

If those symptoms are of short duration, that's fine, it's a normal phase that many if not all of us had to go through. However, if those symptoms persist you might want to find out what the real problem is.

My experience taught me that in most cases this is due to your "lack of positive beliefs". Lack of beliefs in yourself and lack of beliefs in what you are doing ( your online business).

"without vision the people perish"

This is so true! Without a vision or goal if you prefer, it would be almost impossible for anyone to make it in this business. The reason for this is because your success will depend on your actions. Not so much the time you are spending, but the actions you are taking.

What kind of actions are you going to take for something you don't believe in? How motivated are you going to be in taking action if you don't believe in yourself?

The answer for each of these questions is very obvious. NOT many!

So, in conclusion, when it comes to your time management and find yourself not being able to give the time that you know you should to make your business work for you, try to find out what is the real issue behind it all.

Yes I think this is true because it can be often to motivate myself to do the work. Especially if I wasn't seeing results. I think what has helped is when I have made changes based on trusted sources e.g. high-profile copywriting and affiliate marketing sources and seen some results which has then given me the confidence to keep going.

Before you get these results especially if it is your first product or website, can be very challenging and in these cases, you have to keep going no matter what. And change your strategy so that you do get success.

The key is to learn when is the right time to leave an idea because it is not going to sell v hanging in there until you reach the relevant point.

I think time may be an issue for a lot of people. However, I don't necessarily agree that "lack of time commitment" is the reason why people fail online with making money. In my opinion, it's because they do not take the right action. They don't do the things necessary to set themselves up to make money. To make a lot of money online, you need to be a strong person and you need to be able to accept failure. Many people fail online and give up, but there are others that move on and accept it as a learning process.

People say it's hard to make money online, but I don't agree. I think the hardest part is waiting for your websites or projects to actually work. It can take a long time to start making consistent money online. Lack of positive beliefs only come because other people don't believe in you. It's important to forget about surroundings and focus on what you want to accomplish. There are millionaires and billionaires in this world. They are all humans, and anyone should be able to accomplish the same thing. It just takes time, effort, patience, and knowledge to achieve a high money making occupation.

Another problem is that people keep buying the new fad product that they believe will help them make a lot of money. Buying an info product is not going to make a lot of money. Using information and gaining knowledge will help you make a lot though. Stop putting all your money into information that you already know, and start using it. Nobody learns how to make money by listening to the "gurus". You'll learn how to make it by experimenting and going through the ups and downs. The main goal is to work through everything and continue to persevere. The money will eventually come.

If you have noticed, most of the people making a lot of money online right now went through tough times to get there. Frank Kern is one of the most influential marketers online, and he got raided by the FTC. It didn't stop him from achieving his goals though, and nothing should stop anyone.

It's about the quality of work done, not the hours you put into it. 80/20 definitely applies here, so if you can find that 20, you won't have to work nearly as much as most.

Great topic, the factors that differentiate successful people in any given area of life - business (including online business), relationships, happiness/fulfillment, health, etc... is something I have studied for years - even wrote a book about it recently.

What interested me the most is that people start with the same level of motivation, but somehow 5% or less continue forth and achieve great things while the other 95% melt away - why?

One of the factors involves the expectation of setbacks.

What I mean is that the 5% I studied who made it no matter what had a completely different outlook on setbacks than the other 95%

      How?

Of the 5% who succeeded they all had either the expectation that there would be setbacks and that setbacks were a normal part of progress - so they actually looked forward to challenges because they knew they were on the right path whereas the 95% who gave up, lost motivation or under-achieved looked at setbacks as failures...got discouraged, took it personally and quickly made up excuses for not getting the job done.

The results were amazing - somewhere along the way I too was taught that you can't have progress without setbacks...that you learn to succeed based on the feedback you get when something doesn't work as well as you expected...so I never take these personally, yet many clients I work with get tremendously discouraged after just the smallest of setbacks...quite amazing.

Yes, Jeff! Thanks for your great feedback here.

Setback is a huge wall for many people. One thing that those individuals actually believe is that successful people were successful the first time around.

This is so wrong! Nothing could be further from the truth. Some tremendously successful people have had more setbacks and failures than one could name.

Setbacks and failures are not the problem here. Lack of persistence is. As Napoleon Hill says in his famous book "Think and Grow Rich" persistence is key to success and the ones lacking it will never really amount to anything.

        Thanks for you comment again

To put it simply you should focus your efforts on what works and what will bring in the most money... then leave some time to handle the other stuff of outsource the other stuff.

It's a constant battle everyone seems to have... if you know what works and really focus your time and effort into that then your income will grow as well as your business
