How to train your Dragon...
Okay, maybe not as catchy as I thought, but as someone whose fingers
have started to go numb because of all of the typing that I have done,
I have come to love Dragon Naturally Speaking.
I have found that using this program when I create articles on topics that
I am familiar with is a breeze, but not so much when it comes to topics
that I am unfamiliar with.
I have found that creating a short outline helps. In this case let's pretend
the article will be about "How To Attach A Photo To An Email Message"
For example:
Paragraph One: Why you would want to attach a photo to an Email
Paragraph Two: Different Types of Email Accounts
Paragraph Three: Importance of resizing photos before sending
Paragraph Four: How to attach a photo to a message
Paragraph Five: Wrap up what I just talked about
Now the next part may take a little practice, but once you get it done it
makes article creation a lot easier.
The next thing I do is just sit down and pretend I am talking to someone
about the topic.
For instance, I could start talking about how attaching a photo is much
easier to do then actually sending the photo via snail mail. In fact it is
cheaper and faster, etc.. I think you get the picture.
You can pretend you are talking to a friend or family member.
At least this has worked for me. After a while you can crank out articles
pretty quickly depending on how comfortable you get with it.
Hope this helps someone keep their wrists and fingers healthy.
