How To Install RSS Feed to my Site Once It's Created

I have created an RSS feed for one of my sites using RSSbot.

Now I have the feed in an XML file, but I don't know how to get it on the site and working so that I can start submitting it as a working RSS feed.

I'm guessing it probably is just a simple FTP transfer of some sort but I can't figure it out.

Can someone please tell me what exactly I have to do in order to get this feed installed on my site properly so that it works?

Thanks a lot

I know that, I do, but it's a holiday so don't expect much!

You need to FTP it up to your root directory and name it something something .xml

and then submit the feeds to RSS directories

Yes - call it whatever you like - it doesn't matter.

As long as it's a valid XML file it will work. Most people just call it rss.xml.

You can either name it on your computer and ftp it - or ftp it and then rename it (yes, usually right click and rename)

Is it a wise idea to submit a XML sitemap(like sitemap.xml) to RSS directories ?
