Any Good Experience Buying Solo Ads?

Hey Folks,

I've never done buying traffic other than banner ads but just like to
hear from people who have an experience with buying sold ads from
people who have a big list or even a safelist.

Would you mind sharing your experience and also recommend any
good Warriors who have responsive lists?

I would really appreciate your help.

Joe

ALWAYS do multiple test buys. That's my only suggestion.

There have been a few of my competitors who would get your money, send good traffic, and after you put in a big order.... they send you the cheap stuff, the real cheap stuff.

It's a lot of money I tell ya to do multiple tests. The minimum cost for 300 clicks is $100 and I'd just like to hear from actual experiences buying solo ads.. Pros and cons.

    Anyone?

My solo ad company does by the send bulk not by the click. We get a ton of repeat business so I'm pretty sure my clients like it. We take it upon ourselves and treat it like space invaders and get them a high score. A high score means repeat business.
With that said I've heard horror stories about solo ads that would make me wary about dumping large chunks of cash with no verifiable results or references.
      YMMV

Can you tell me more about what your company does?

From the Solo ad side we simply market for clients. We have a mission specific set of niches and if the clients niche jibes with ours we set them up, schedule them and send away.

We actually split our solo ad company last month into solo ad and leadgen entities. My solo ad site doesn't even have a sales page. We have 2 groups of sends a day and usually have about 40-50 clients booked in a month. When our current in-dev list hits 100k we will be adding another send. Every 100k a new daily send.

We are very results focused as that's the reason we get such word of mouth.

Really? I think I've been charging too little then. I sell 10,000 clicks for $100.

BTW, I've never paid anyone for traffic or promotion, but I'm going to start for my next project.

Pros.... buying direct is cheaper for clients, no commission taken out like ad networks.

Cons... watch out for the scams.

Another TIP... always make them pay upfront and never start the ad until they do. If they ask for a free test run, refuse.
Just to verify, when you say 'clicks' I take it you mean clicks on the links in our Solo emails that you send out?
