First product - go Clickbank or Resell Rights?

I am currently working on a product (ebook) and am wondering about the best way to market it for a first timer.

I thought about just selling the resell rights to it, maybe offering a limited number of those to increase interest.

But on the other hand it seems like selling it via Clickbank would be the highest income potential *if* I can attract affiliate marketers to it.

Would it be better to do it as resale rights since I am a new player, or should I just say screw that and shoot for the moon with clickbank.

FYI - The product will be an ebook in the health niche, created with input from real health experts and nutritionists, not stuff I scraped off of Wikipedia or a bunch of PLR pasted together. The product will have real value to anyone who buys it.

Thanks!

Just my opinion. And do bear in mind that I don't know the specifics of your offer, situation or market.

If it's an eBook, it doesn't sound that attractive an offer for affiliates to spend energy driving traffic to the offer. The eBook would have to be a higher priced one for it to be appealing, of which you would need to offer affiliates between 60-75%.

It will cost you a one time fee of $49.95 to register your FIRST account as a merchant and you will need to factor this in as a cost. Also consider that Clickbank takes some fees on each sale.

You might want to stick to resale rights. Not sure what your list is like, but if you don't have one yet or haven't considered building one, you may even want to consider giving it away to build your list.

You'll want to serve a list of customers (your email list) by offering them your higher priced higher value products in the future.

I don't know what other warriors will think about this:rolleyes:

You could run it as a clickbank product for 3 months. If you get a loyal band of affiliates then you have your answer either way.

What you really need to do is decide on your business model.

If you are happy to produce products, Sell them as PLR/MMR and forget it then fine.

I think that in the long term good products produced for affiliates to market for you is a much better option.
