Integrating PayPal and AWeber - who knows how to do it?

Hi guys - a little help if you would...

AWeber allows your new customers to be part of a specific customer list. They outline how to do it here:

How Do I Integrate PayPal With AWeber? :: AWeber Knowledge Base

All well and good, but not the easiest of things to follow. Does anyone know of a decent video tutorial?

And is this the only solution? And is it the easiest?

Does using e-junkie as the shopping cart complicate matters or is that irrelevant?

Questions, questions... it's just one of those days!

Cheers

Peter

      Thanks Corey,

It's a large file that you've posted there and my broadband is rather narrow band at the moment so it's got about an hour left to download.

When I get a chance to watch it I'll tell you how I got on.

A simple solution is to creating a "download squeeze page" where you ask them to verify their name and email address before they can download the product.

A little low tech but effective.

For an alternative, you can use DLGuard and GetResponse. I've just been reading on the DLGuard forums that their integration with GetResponse is automatic, plus you get all the benefits of product protection and membership areas, if you need them.

I'm switching over to this setup later today, just because of this integration.

Rather than starting a new thread I thought I would bump this one.

I'm currently trying to integrate PayPal and Aweber as per the instructions in the first post of this thread.

      Just so that I understand this correctly.. is this how it works;

      1) Customer buys product through PayPal
      2) PayPal then sends customer email information to Aweber
      3) Aweber then sends whatever email I set it to send to the customer who then has to opt in?

In PayPal you have the option to add an email to your account

the email you add is the name of an aweber autoresponder you create

Paypal asks you to confirm the address by getting a code sent from paypal to the address

You go into aweber and get the code

bring it back to paypal - use it to verify the address in paypal

Now, whenever someone buys on that PayPal email address, they are automatically added to that autoresponder

Whatever messages are in the autoresponder get delivered exactly as if they joined on a squeeze page

I know this because I have several emails working like this
    Signature

"Observation is an act of creation through limitations inherent in thinking"
