Is it just me or is anyone else having this issue

Ok I just got a email stating I had some funds added to my paypal account. However when I went to log into my paypal account I got the cert error. So as usual I accepted the cert and proceded to try and log in to pay pal. Now I am getting invalid url message. Exact message is below:

Invalid URL

The requested URL "/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_login-processing&login_cmd=_login-done&login_access=1242239404", is invalid. Reference #9.1cf1cb4a.1285055388.c76f36

But when I try to access the site from google. Using the direct link to log in I am getting access is denied message. Is pay pal doing some maintenance and that why I can not access pay pal at all. Or is there an issue on my end I have to work out. I have even tried to access pay pal through various product offer pages all of which are giving me some sort of error message.

Firstly was the email from Paypal or did it look naughty? Did you try to access Paypal from a link in the email?

If you can't access it from other sites and I'm no techie here, it should log to your account due to the cookies. It sounds rather odd. Best advice I could possibly give is get straight on the phone to Paypal and tell them everything you just posted here.

EDIT. I just logged into Paypal fine so I doubt it's maintenance, besides they'd tell you if it was.

Firstly I would scan your computer with malwarebytes

Then clear your cookies and maybe try using another browser. If you don't have an alternative browser - you should have! Download Firefox or Chrome or Opera or Safari and try from there.

No I never click links for pay pal contained with in emails. For I know how easy it is to manipulate emails. So with that said I simply started typing the paypal address in the browser and clicked the link I always click to log in. So I know it is not an issue from that stand point. I have had this problem normally only with google and once I reset my ip since I go off a proxy it normally fixes it. I just wanted to see if it may be a internal problem with paypal before I did so since I had alot of work I needed to get done first.

Ok fair enough, it probably is just what you thought then if it's happenned before. I just get paranoid about phishers. Didn't actually think you'd have done that just wanted to make sure. I don't think it's Paypal though, I logged in fine so I reckon you'll have to postpone that work for second. Glad it's nothing serious though.

Once again it proves my proxy is messing up. I released the Ip and renewed it and the problem is solved. I never used to have these problems when I had comcast as my high speed provider. Unfortunately now I have to rely on hughes net for my internet provider or use dial up. And I am not about to use dial up since it would take 10 hours just to post one article on ezine with that poky service
