Does it still make sense to promote amazon products through blogger or i should just get a domain and hosting.

Generally, it doesn't make sense. You're risking being deleted by Blogger at any time for any reason. Try to rely as little as possible on other companies' goodwill for your income.

Yeah don't do it on blogger unless you can have it on your own domain.

I've heard of Blogger deleting people's blogs and their income is wiped away in an instant. Imagine how that must feel?

For long term blogging you would want to get a domain. Blogging on your own domain is a great way to brand yourself. Plus it's cheap. Hope this helps

I agree with everyone else. You should purchase your own domain name, and get your own hosting - you can literally get started that way for under $20, and you've just created your very own piece of virtual real estate.

Now if you are trying to get approved for Amazon Associates, the best thing to do is to get a blogger blog and quickly set it up about anything (2 posts minimum) and then use your blogger address when applying since Amazon will ask you for a website that you want to use......

Once you get approved, get your own hosting and start making some $$$

I would suggest getting a domain of your own. I've also heard a lot about people getting their accounts deleted and losing they're earnings. Something I wouldn't want to see myself.

Always get your own domain and hosting.

With things like Fantastico, you can then install your own wordpress in a flash!

That way, it's all under your control with no rish of suddenly being deleted!

If my understanding is correct, you should use blogger to test
whether a product is worth promoting or not...

You can get hundreds of sites up in a day with the right
approach - and by testing which of them are making you money
you will be able to focus on those and choose the best, which
you then build your own sites around (with your own domain
    and hosting).

    Kindest regards,
    Karl.

I would just get your own domain name and hosting (there are plenty of cheap shared hosting packages all over google). Get a wordpress blog installed and leave blogger alone. Blogger, in my opinion is terrible for every reason. It lacks features, functionality and freedom. If your going to create a blog to send traffic to, it may as well be on your own domain.

I am a new marketer and don't know much, but I would definitely advise not playing around with Blogger at all. For too many reasons it would be best for you to get a domain and hosting.

One reason: It is much harder to rank a Blogspot than a TLD. Good Luck!

After hearing these news about Blogger deleting people, this is not the best approach to do even if you're just testing products. Better get your own host and domain to also make your site look more credible especially since you'll be promoting some products.
