Hi Warriors, Does anyone know why doesn't Eben Pagan sell his Double your Dating ebook on Clickbank? Yes, Clickbank doesn't sell physical products, but he does have a $19.95 ebook as his lead product. I have been paying notice to how he markets his ebook for over 4 years, and witnessed how the DYD company grew. It's just amazing that he actually got deals with HUGE and super famous websites to endorse his ebook, way back in 2004. (The likes of Tickle.com) Nevertheless, I suddenly wonder, why isn't he using Clickbank to recruit affiliates to promote his ebook? In fact, if you just look at his site, it seems that he isn't even recruiting any affiliates at all! Yet, he actually pays out a 200% commission for the ebook. (Yes, 200%) I have lost track to check on him since last year coz I was starting to get busy on my own Internet Business, so I don't exactly know when he got famous in the Money Making market and what the Altitude course teaches. Did anyone here buy his Altitude course? I heard it was somewhere around $5000? Does the course include how he promoted the DYD ebook and website? Thank you for reading this long post everyone, input will be much appreciated! Yours sincerely, Terry |

Because he values his product and he wants his affiliates to get proper credit for their work.. Clickbank has always been open to glitches... no $20 million business would risk those issues Get altitude was one of the most money worth seminars ever..worth every penny, it was a business course not really about DYD but it did feature because it was part of his business movement Peace Jay |

Get Altitude has 15 solid DVDs and a professionally designed manual. If you're going to build an empire of products, like Eben, the last thing you'd do is tie yourself to the crap of clickbank. It's system is flawed. They rip about 10% of your earnings. I doubt clickbank can enable a 100%+ commission payout anyway. |

Hi Clickbank's limit is 75% commission I believe...and at volume, it's certainly cheaper to do it yourself...though for most people CB is the best option in the short-term and their costs are worth paying for not needing to worry about the affiliate side etc. However, it can be a pain to link CB sales etc into a bigger funnel...plus JV brokers run a mile unless you have your own in-house affiliate program as CB hasn't got a 2nd tier or good enough tracking stats. The best way to see WHY Eben Pagan is not using CB is to buy his DYD product - then see what he's trying to sell to you next :-) To Our Success! Gary |

Because ClickBank has way too many flaws and does not allow commission payouts past 75%. The DYD eBook is his front-end product that opens the door to all his extremely high priced physical products. Simply put, he makes a *killing* on the back-end. He's a great marketer. |

As for the in-house affiliate program. I do have JVManger 2, but I wonder, if I use JVManger 2 to track the sales for my JV. And if some of their customers put their own hoplink when order. Does that mean I will have to pay both my JV partner and the clickbank commission thief? Since they are both tracked by 2 different systems? I do own a lot of DYD products, had spent thousands on them since 2004. Terry

Perhaps you are right. That "control" thing does make sense, but... Let's bug Eben enough that he creates a video for us to answer that question. Will be in terms of educational value. Do you think it's possible? |

Terry, you got JV manager 2 aka Fantasos? You bet you can track your sales of the JV and a whole lot bl***y more with Fantasos! I think you're better off letting Fantasos run your affiliate and JV program - and use another payment processor like paypal. Quote:
It seems you're relatively new with Fantasos because if you have it you should be using it for nearly everything. Charge it up. It can run an online empire. As for the Get Altitude content, I haven't got around to checking it out. Given his business experience comes from DYD, even though he may not directly refer to the business, you can bet that what he teaches in Get Altitude is based on his learnings from DYD.

started using it yet. How much was Altitude sold for? Is it still available for sales? I have another question about Clickbank if you can answer, you see, these days more merchants are using those exit pop-up virtual agents to offer a $30 discount (or so). Now, for example, if the product sells for $97, and pays the affiliate 60% commission, when if offers the visitor $30 off to $67. Will the affiliate be automatically adjusted to the 60% at $67 and not $97? I supposed it should be, but when I check the Clickbank marketplace, it only says $xx amount pay out, but it doesn't state that there's two possibilities? I will be much appreciated if you can tell me. Yours sincerely, Terry

I think altitude is $3000. And no, it's not available for sale. I don't know that clickbank answer. I'd guess it just is 60% of the new clickbank price. |

I sat through the videos and didn't really pick anything up. It's more of a general business course than anything else. He tells you to build a customer avatar and sell to it...benefits...customer relationships, etc. Don't get me wrong. Pagan is a marketing genius..,I just didn't find anything from the videos that you could put into play. It was more like college business class (but real world). |

Damn... Clickbank's not exactly flavor of the month round here, is it. There are a few several-million-a-year businesses operating through Clickbank though, aren't there? I think Terry Ma IS Eben Pagan in disguise, and he's just having a good laugh at all these posts... |

Interesting ClickBank facts (according to their blog) - They sell something to someone every 4 seconds... - They regularly do over $1,000,000 a day... I find that ClickBank is good for lead in products that offer very high affiliate commissions to attract super affiliates. Rolling with this model requires you to have a strong back-end offer. In addition to a strong back-end offer you really need many front end products directing your market to that back-end. ClickBank's distribution channels work best if you play the numbers, meaning a lot of lead in products solving very specific problems that can all lead into the same or very similar back-end products (preferably a continuity). A quick point about clickbank that most people seem to miss. With all the products on reverse engineering clickbank top selling products it can make sense not to use that site. All that sales data is valuable- why expose it to the world? CB is good for getting started online but any serious business will protect its sales data and look to have more control over contact with affiliates. |

While selling physical product is possible, CB's limit on price is not something that matches Eben's business I guess. I am sure he has many other reasons, but certain CB is not an option. |

That's very true... On the other hand, let me play devil's advocate for a moment, there is a large and rapidly growing number of "true" Super Affiliates who, given the choice between products of equal value, appeal and conversion, will choose to promote the one that goes through ClickBank every single time. Simply because they "know" they will get paid. That's one of the main reasons why books like truthaboutabs can and are doing 3 million a year through clickbank, and more. The affiliates know for a fact they will get paid.

Because it's done that way, Clickbank can still refund them for any reason -- even if they sneeze -- and you're still out the physical product. Many people get into selling physical products to make the refund process more difficult than digital delivery... they have to ship the product back to you. With physical products on Clickbank, the buyer could keep the digital AND physical versions, and walk away from the refund without any kind of tracking / fraud investgation.

Terry I suspect he is not using CB to have more control of his product and branding including the commission issue ... just my .02 Also if you go to youtube and search for him you can find quit a bit out and a few answers to your questions. |

Get Altitude is an absolute amazing 15 DVD sets. Eben talks a lot about Double Your Dating and gives you some of the secrets to how he built that business. Eben is a true asset to the business and IM community. I have a good feeling that he will be coming out with some awesome internet marketing products in the near future! He is one of my favorites. |

Terry, I have the DVD's, and this is my best business purchase since 2006. My recommendation: Do not think one minute more, get this. You'll know the secrets of a $20 million business per year. I liked the part (don't remember which DVD) when Eben asks: who are you is split testing everyday? Eben himself was amazed about the response. The whole Dvd's are awesome. There are info that you will never find anywhere else, because people are not aware of this. Franck. |

Good marketer no doubt. I was a DYD affiliate for awhile even sold a few and I have the product. He offered a good percentage of the sale. Did anyone ever notice that it ONLY paid IF the customer bought on the first visit? It's was the small print of course. Not sure if it's still that way because I haven't promoted it in a couple years. Might EP be smarter than you thought?
