I can't get my post up in the War Room

I am not sure what is going on, but I have tried twice to post a thread in the War Room giving away a plr pack. There is no opt in required, just a link to my site where you can download a .zip file.

For some reason, it has not appeared. I tried last week and again this morning and nothing. I know it may take some time, but I posted a WSO and was approved pretty quick.

Anyone have some insight on this?

Thanks,
Steve

They have been cracking down on the quality of information that is accepted in there. Chances are they have either not gotten to your thread yet, or the information is not up to par with what they have put the new standards at.

The best thing you can do is either try again in a couple of weeks or contact the warrior forum support at Warrior Forum Helpdesk

    Good luck,

To quote the 'Big Yellow Round-Faced Guy with the Sunglasses & Cigar'

The First Post in Every thread will be one with Real Value...

That means no threads will be started with the usual kind of forum posts. If you have a question please post it in an already existing thread that is related to the question.

Pretty much ALL Discussion will take place in already existing threads....

That way we can make literally every thread have real value and you don't have to search through endless threads trying to find something good. When you open a thread the value will start right there in the first post every time, plus whatever else other members add to the thread.

I encourage members to start a thread with a great idea, technique or strategy. All first posts will be moderated. It will be approved or denied ASAP. All replies in existing threads are not moderated and will appear instantly.
A link to a download is probably not considered a 'thread of real value.'

It might be considered a ploy to get people to visit your website. There are some threads with download links, but they may not have been the poster's 'first' post. I'm just guessing, as I don't know how the quality of a thread is evaluated.

^^There's still threads getting approved where people give links to download minisites, etc so that can't be it. I also have a war room thread I made 2-3 months ago and it's never seen the light of day.

Do feel bad ... I had two that never saw the light of day. I'm not offended. They post what they want to appear in the War Room, and there's guarantee that your post will be accepted.

If you saved it, check the text of your actual post. My guess is that it might read like a veiled promotion. Another thing to check is the content on the page with the download link. If that's overly promotional, I'm betting that it would sink you.

I'm not one of the mods, so I'm just guessing here. But that would be where I would start looking if I were in your place...

I think all threads there are moderated as time allows - so threads do not appear immediately like they do in the main section.

Post it once and give it time. It may be a day before it appears.

And why you're so concerned that it wasn't approved?

War Room is a place to share and to give back to the forum, if your give away isn't accepted, then fine, probably it hadn't meet the standards mods are looking for...

UNLESS your give away has another purpose, that's obviously reflected in your thread:rolleyes: and was apparent enough for the mods to trash your it..

People are paying for the WR to get access to the best collection of tips and resources available online, not to scrap visitors to their own sites

I think I missed this part before posting my previous reply, this alone explains everything, you don't know the difference between a WSO and a WR post.

Thanks for everyone's response. I see so many other members giving stuff away in the War Room, I thought that I would do it as well.

I was not requiring an opt in like many of the other posts I see. What I have is pretty straight forward. No strings attached.

I have seen some stuff on there that is blatant list building and it got approved.....

    Thanks anyway.

I don't post crap and as far as I'm aware don't post for self-serving reasons. Yet the three posts I have made to the War Room, one an article that I thought would be helpful, one was a free ebook that I was then selling for $17 and the most recent was access to a free piece of software, have been deleted by a moderator before they have appeared.

There are plenty of people managing to get very similar posts on there, so clearly I don't get it.

      Martin

Edit: Nothing I posted required an opt in and all were free, so go figure.

When I joined, all I saw was a bunch of free ebooks, most of which are worthless. I'm not interested in freebies. I'm interested in techniques and strategies.

So it's a great thing that things have now changed for the better. Otherwise, it's no different to a worthless "free giveaway" site.
    These two things are related.

If you page back a ways, you won't find a lot of downloads - you'll find lengthy posts with excellent content and following discussion.

Moving forward, you'll find people offering things they originally sold as WSOs, with links to the download pages (some of which required an opt-in)

Then someone got the bright idea that they could hack together some POS to "give away" in the War Room and build their list that way. It was getting ridiculous until Allen clamped down on it. A bunch of those crap offers were weeded out, but some that were 'legal' before the rule change were left up.

Those remnants are the ones people are seeing. I believe those will gradually disappear as well. The rule now is no opt-in required and posts must be approved. Why certain posts are approved and others are not, I can't tell you.

Martin, given the general high level of the stuff you post, I'm a bit confused why you would have any trouble getting something approved...

That's kind of you to say John, but it seems not everyone agrees. Three posts and three fails means I won't bother with 'fourth time lucky'.

I think John (McC) summed up the situation well.

Also, specifically regarding the OP's question, it might be to do with what you're offering. PLR packs clog up most of our hard drives already and are notoriously variable in quality.

No offence meant, but considering the fact that you're still fairly new with only a handful of posts behind you, a War Room mod would have no way of ascertaining the quality or usefullness of your pack without examining the articles first.

They probably don't have the time for such an exercise.

If you really want to give it away try the Free Ebooks section of the forum. Maybe it will fly off the shelf!

I appreciate everyones response to my question. I think John McCabe and Frank Donovan made good points and are most likely the answer to my question. Thanks again.
