    My quick reply...

worst themes are black background with white text. I know they look cool... but much harder to "read".

Did you know that you can use Public Domain content for articles, blog posts, products, free reports and more? Debra's Public Domain Treasure Hunter blog can show you how....

I also think you should create a stap line that sums up in a simple phrase what the site is about ...

Everything you need to know about Guitars

The Most COMPREHENSIVE Guide for Guitar Players On Planet Earth

    Or something like that

I think both Adsense and also there are some Clickbank products which could work

    All the best

Debra, you are wrong... The worst themes are the ones with black background and charcoal gray text. Particularly if the text is relatively small, to boot.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what the OP has.

I'd look for a clean theme with black text on a white or nearly white background. If any of your audience is over 30, a minimum font size of 12 is a plus.

Building a list is a definite 'gotta do', but an ebook may or may not be the best premium to use as your ethical bribe. I played a little, many years ago, but I had a devil of a time getting the guitar in tune without a lot of fiddling around. So a video showing 'how to tune your guitar in under two minutes' would have been of interest. You'll just have to try different things and see what works for you.

Have you tested any Adsense on there? If done well you could make some useful money. I have some sites with low number of visitors like you mention, but the adsense is converting very highly so they have made good money.

No not yet, i'm a little scepticle about this as it usually looks crap but i'll give it a trial run for a month or so!

When you do, spend a little time tweaking the appearance so it blends in with your site. Things like the background color, text color and link color...

Also, don't get carried away. Last time I checked (admittedly a long time ago), you could have three Adsense blocks and one of the little link blocks (forgot what they're called - sucks getting older, but it beats the alternative).

Normal logic says pack'em in and give yourself the best chance to get a click.

Google logic says the highest paying ads generally get the top spots. So if you have too many ad blocks, you may be encouraging clicks on the ads with the lowest returns.

I used to have the best luck with one block in the post and one link block under the post. As always, your mileage may vary...

Please change the grey writing on the black background. Its tough to read. Causes eye-strain! This makes me want to leave the page.

    Hope this helps!

I'm gonna post the same thing that I posted to the last guy who posted a "how's my website" thread.

Do not post your site and niche on a forum where you have over 200,000 competitors. We may be all friendly to you but remember we are your competitors. Now someone who sees you as an easy newbie might try to outrank you in your niche.

Basic rule of thumb is the same as in poker: hold your cards close and never reveal your hand.

Now we all know your domain name, niche, and keywords you're targetting.

Maybe Im crazy but personally like the black theme lol. It could use a little editing if you want to keep the dark backround going on but other then that its the viewers preference :] keep up the good work!

I love black wordpress themes, I know there not very user friendly so I use the black theme for my self and give the users a clean white theme.

i found the site extremely hard to read, highly recommend changing the theme, people would be put off by it, it looks a little gothic! Websites that are clean and crisp and easy to follow will always keep their readers more interested
