ClickBank, what happens when the buyer pays with Paypal...

Some products in 'get ex back' niche have only paypal option on their home page, but they have special landing pages for Clickbank affiliates.

What happens if someone lands on CB page, then comes back to the home page of this site where there's no CB order button, only a link to Paypal order page?

Not to mention that the product is 'cheaper' on the page with Paypal only.

Sounds like the affiliate gets cut out entirely.

Exactly. If a customer doesn't buy instantly - I lose commission. If a customer visits homepage and sees that the product costs $37 instead of $47, I doubt they'll return to that CB landing page.

I don't think I'd promote a product if I noticed that they were selling it off the main page for cheaper and cutting out affiliates.

Personally, I think the vendors should offer the ClickBank version on their home page. They can still offer the PayPal version in a separate folder or with a different page name, but no one would know to go looking for that, like they would go to the home page of a website when they visit a link that's off of the main url.

        Just my two cents.

Go look for other programs to promote.
If your referral doesn not get tracked correctly and you don't get compensated, then look somewhere else.
But, you also should check (maybe contact the merchant by email) if there is an other affiliate program besides CB that he maintains.

This is why I plan on using ClickBank exclusively. That way any affiliates that sign up will have no worries about losing commission. The only way you can offer both ClickBank and PayPal and have affiliates get full commission is to have a shopping cart/affiliate script that handles the checkout. That way no matter what they choose, your script can log the purchase.

The only issue, though, is that ClickBank makes payments automatically. Your script would have to be able to send out PayPal commissions around the same time.

Personally, I'd stay away from any place that uses multiple payment processors like that unless they have their own affiliate program.
